Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Arizer Solo / Solo 2 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (2S1P/18650B)
This 7.4V, 3400mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the internal cell pack in the Arizer Solo and Solo 2 portable dry herb vaporizers. It matches the original 2S1P/18650B configuration and restores full heating capacity to both devices. Voltage and capacity figures are drawn directly from the product specification — not estimated.
- Solo and Solo 2 compatibility: Both devices run on the same 7.4V two-cell series pack with an identical connector and BMS handshake. The Solo 2 adds a digital display and faster heat-up, but the battery architecture is unchanged — the same cell pack drives both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge-discharge runs on the Solo 2, monitoring BMS cutoff thresholds under sustained heater draw at each temperature step. The protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage cutoff without nuisance trips during normal session use.
- Post-session recharge timing: Allow the vaporizer to cool completely between sessions before plugging in. The heating element brings the internal cavity to elevated temperatures, and the cell sits directly behind that assembly. Charging into a warm cell after a back-to-back session pushes cell temperature higher than the chemistry tolerates long-term — it shortens cycle life faster than almost anything else.
Why the Solo cuts out before the session ends
The Solo's heater draws sustained current at a fixed load — it does not pulse or throttle the way some devices do. As the cell ages and internal resistance climbs, voltage sags under that load and can trip the BMS low-voltage cutoff well before the state-of-charge indicator reads empty. A fresh cell holds the voltage rail steady across the full draw. If the old pack was shutting down mid-session, a new battery that maintains voltage above the 6.0V cutoff threshold will resolve it.
Battery percentage jumps or reads incorrectly after fitting a new pack
The Solo 2's charge indicator uses voltage thresholds to estimate state of charge — there is no coulomb counter recalibrating in the background. When a new cell with a different internal resistance profile is fitted, the reported percentage can appear to jump or settle at an odd reading. Run one complete charge cycle from flat to full without interruption. This lets the firmware re-anchor its voltage-to-percentage mapping to the new cell's actual discharge curve.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Arizer Solo 2 isn't hitting the higher temperature steps even with a new battery — the airpath stays cool at 7 and above. What's wrong?
The upper temperature steps on the Solo 2 pull significantly more current from the cell than the lower steps do. If the replacement pack has a high internal resistance — common in old or degraded cells — voltage sags under that heater load and the element never reaches the target temperature. Check that the battery contacts on both the cell and the device are clean and making full contact. A fresh, low-resistance cell holding above 7.2V under load will supply enough current to reach those upper steps.
The Solo 2 shuts itself off mid-session even though the battery indicator still shows charge remaining — why does this keep happening?
This is the BMS cutting power at the low-voltage threshold, not the device powering off normally. The Solo 2's heater draws sustained current, and if the cell's voltage drops below roughly 6.0V under that load — even briefly — the protection circuit trips. The indicator reads state of charge from a resting voltage estimate, so it can show bars remaining while the loaded voltage has already hit cutoff. Fit a new pack, run a full charge cycle, and the BMS should no longer trip during a standard session.
After I replaced the battery, the Solo 2 shows full charge immediately after I plug it in for only a few minutes — is the indicator broken?
The indicator is not broken — it is reading resting cell voltage, which on a new fully-shipped cell is typically around 3.7V per cell (7.4V total), and that maps to a mid-to-high charge reading before any current flows. The charger will still run a full charge cycle; the display just jumps ahead of where the actual charge state is. Let the device charge until the indicator light changes to its full-charge state, then discharge completely and recharge once to let the voltage thresholds recalibrate to the new cell.
