Fits Haier 805-01-NL DVB-T receiver; replaces OEM parts PL903295 and CP-HLT71.
7.4V, 2500mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full tuner sensitivity and remote control function on this set-top box.
Battery seats flat into the rear compartment with single plastic locking tab; connector is two-pin JST.
We ran full discharge cycles on the 805-01-NL platform — BMS accepted the pack without fault codes on first insertion.
After installing this cell, run a full channel scan before viewing; DVB-T receivers lose stored channel lists during battery removal and require rescanning to rebuild the tuner map.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Haier 805-01-NL / HLT71 Series — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL903295)

This 7.4V, 2500mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the internal pack in the Haier 805-01-NL, HERLT71, HLT71, and HLT71BAT portable DVB-T receivers. It fits directly in place of part numbers PL903295 and CP-HLT71. When the original battery degrades, the receiver loses its ability to hold charge and can no longer operate away from mains power.

  • HLT71 series compatibility: The 805-01-NL, HERLT71, HLT71, and HLT71BAT all share the same 7.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one pack covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the HLT71 platform. The BMS responded correctly to cell voltage signals, with no false low-battery cutoffs observed at operating voltage.
  • Post-install channel scan required: After fitting the new battery, run a full DVB-T channel scan before watching. The receiver stores its channel list in volatile memory — a complete power removal wipes it, and the tuner will show no channels until a fresh scan completes.

Reception breaking up as the Haier HLT71 battery drains

The DVB-T tuner in the HLT71 series is sensitive to supply voltage. As battery voltage sags below roughly 6.8V, the tuner's RF front-end loses sensitivity and the signal-to-noise ratio drops. The decoder then struggles to lock onto weaker multiplexes, producing pixelation or freezing even when the signal meter still shows green. A fresh, fully charged pack brings the supply voltage back into the range where the tuner operates cleanly.

Saved channel list gone after replacing the battery

The 805-01-NL and HLT71 hold channel data in volatile memory that depends on continuous power. Pulling the old battery — even briefly — clears everything stored. This is normal behaviour, not a fault with the new pack. Once the replacement is seated and the receiver powers on, go to the menu and run an automatic channel scan to rebuild the full channel list.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Haier HLT71 shows a full signal bar but the picture keeps pixelating or freezing — could the battery cause this?

Yes. The DVB-T tuner in the HLT71 requires a stable supply voltage to maintain RF sensitivity. When battery cells age and internal resistance rises, voltage sags under the display and decoder load even if the charge indicator still reads high. That voltage sag is enough to drop the tuner below its sensitivity threshold on weaker multiplexes, causing the picture to break up. Charge the new pack fully before first use and check that supply voltage holds above 7.0V under load.

The receiver won't find any channels at all after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?

This is almost always the volatile memory wipe described above, not a tuner fault. Removing the old battery cuts power completely, which erases the stored channel list. The receiver has nothing to tune to until you run a fresh scan. Go to Setup → Channel Search (or equivalent in your menu) and run a full automatic scan — it typically finds all available multiplexes within two to three minutes and restores normal operation.

The Haier 805-01-NL charges but drains much faster than expected when using the LCD screen — is that normal?

The LCD panel and DVB-T decoder together draw significantly more current than the receiver uses in standby or audio-only modes. A 2500mAh cell at 7.4V can sustain that combined load for a limited period, and any capacity loss from a degraded original pack compounds the effect. If viewing time is noticeably short with the new pack, check that the screen brightness is not set to maximum — reducing brightness lowers current draw from the display driver and extends available viewing time.
