Fits Digital Prisim A1710130, ATSC710, TVS3970A DVB-T receivers — replaces OEM part numbers PL903295 and CP-HLT71.
7.4V 2500mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers stable voltage to the tuner and LCD display throughout the viewing window.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with a single locking tab — orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested the PL903295 cell in an A1710130 unit — BMS accepted the handshake on first charge and held output voltage steady under decode load.
After installation, run a full channel scan before watching — DVB-T receivers store the channel list in volatile memory and lose saved channels on complete power loss.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Digital Prisim A1710130 / ATSC710 / TVS3970A — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL903295)

This is a 7.4V 2500mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Digital Prisim portable DVB-T receiver range. It fits the A1710130, ATSC710, and TVS3970A models. Cell dimensions are 99.10 × 65.55 × 6.70mm — physically identical to the original PL903295 pack.

  • A1710130 / ATSC710 / TVS3970A compatibility: All three models share the same 7.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers the full lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the DVB-T decoder and LCD display load simultaneously. The BMS held the protection threshold correctly and did not trigger a false over-current cutoff during tuner lock-on, which draws a brief current spike.
  • Channel list after battery swap: DVB-T receivers store channel data in volatile memory. Removing the battery fully wipes that data. Run a complete channel scan immediately after fitting this pack — do not skip it, even if the device powers on normally.

Reception breaking up at low battery on DVB-T receivers

The DVB-T tuner in these units requires a stable voltage to maintain full RF sensitivity. As the battery sags below roughly 6.8V under load, the tuner's front-end amplifier loses gain. The picture pixelates or freezes before the low-battery indicator even activates. Replacing the battery pack restores the voltage headroom the tuner needs to decode weak signals cleanly.

Device powers on but finds zero channels after battery replacement

A discharged or marginal battery can allow the unit to boot but leave the tuner below its minimum operating voltage — typically the full 7.4V nominal rail. In this state the tuner initialises but cannot reach the sensitivity threshold required for a successful scan. Charge the new battery to full before running a scan. If the scan still returns zero channels, the antenna connection or regional frequency settings need checking.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Digital Prisim receiver lost all its channels after I put in the new battery — is that normal?

Yes, and it happens every time the battery is fully removed. DVB-T channel lists are stored in volatile memory, so any complete power interruption wipes them. This is not a fault with the battery. Run a full auto channel scan from the setup menu after every battery swap and the list will rebuild.

The picture keeps breaking up and pixelating even though the battery shows some charge — what's causing it?

The DVB-T tuner's RF amplifier needs a stable voltage to hold signal. When the battery sags under the combined load of the LCD and decoder, tuner sensitivity drops and weaker signals pixelate or drop out entirely — even before the low-battery warning appears. A fresh, fully charged battery is the fix. If pixelation continues with a new pack at full charge, check the antenna connection and confirm the signal source is strong enough at your location.

The receiver takes much longer to charge the new battery than I expected — is something wrong?

The 2500mAh Li-Polymer pack stores 18.5Wh, and the charge rate is set by the receiver's internal charging circuit, not the battery. Larger-capacity packs take longer to top up through that same circuit. Charge time scales directly with capacity — that is expected behaviour, not a fault. Use the original or a rated USB adapter and let the charge cycle complete fully before the first viewing session.
