Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus Chromebook Flip C100PA Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C12N1432)
This is a 3.85V, 7900mAh (30.42Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Asus Chromebook Flip C100 and C100PA series convertible 2-in-1. It fits C100PA, C100PA-DB01, C100PA-DB02, and over 20 additional C100PA variants. Use this to restore power when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge.
- C100PA variant coverage: All listed C100PA models share the same 3.85V battery rail, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol. The slim 3.43mm cell height is specific to the C100's thin convertible chassis — no modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, discharge, and tablet-mode rotation cycles on a C100PA unit. The BMS negotiated correctly with the ChromeOS charge controller and reported state-of-charge without fault flags.
- First-cycle calibration after install: After fitting this battery, let the Chromebook discharge fully until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to re-learn the new cell's capacity curve and clears the inaccurate health warning ChromeOS displays after every cell swap.
ChromeOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after swap
ChromeOS reads battery health data from EEPROM values stored by the previous cell's charge controller. When a new cell is fitted, those stored values no longer match the actual chemistry — ChromeOS flags it as degraded before a single charge cycle runs. This is a calibration state, not a fault. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the health status will update to reflect the new cell.
Chromebook Flip shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped the new cell's voltage curve. The displayed percentage is based on old EEPROM data, so the system thinks it has reserve capacity it doesn't actually have at that voltage point. Under combined CPU and display load, the cell hits its low-voltage cutoff before the OS expects it. Complete two full calibration cycles — discharge to hibernate, charge to 100% — and the gauge will track the actual cell voltage accurately from around 3.0V cutoff upward.

Frequently Asked Questions
ChromeOS keeps showing "battery unknown" or 0% right after I put the new battery in — is it dead?
The old cell's EEPROM data is still being read by the charge controller, and the new cell hasn't written its own state yet. This is a calibration gap, not a dead battery. Discharge the Chromebook fully until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that first full cycle, ChromeOS will recognise the cell and report a valid percentage.
The fuel gauge jumps around — shows 60%, then suddenly 35% a few minutes later — why is my new battery doing this?
The fuel gauge IC is still using voltage-to-capacity tables calibrated to the worn original cell. Until it maps the new cell's discharge curve, percentage readings will be erratic. We saw the same behaviour on the bench for the first two cycles. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles back to back, and the readings will stabilise.
System info in ChromeOS shows the wrong Wh rating for this battery — it doesn't match the 30.42Wh spec listed
The Wh figure ChromeOS displays is pulled from EEPROM-stored rated values written by the factory, which can differ from the actual cell chemistry in the replacement unit. This is a data field mismatch, not a capacity problem — the cell is still delivering its full 7900mAh. After completing the battery learn cycle (full discharge to hibernate, full charge to 100%), check the Wh reading again via `chrome://system` under `battery_energy_full_design`.
