Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus K93 / A93 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A32-K93)
This is a 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for Asus K93, K93S, K93SV, A93, and related notebook models. It slots into the original battery bay and connects via the same multi-pin connector used across this Asus chassis family. OEM part numbers A32-K93, A42-K93, and A41-K93 all apply to this cell group.
- K93 / A93 platform fitment: Asus shared the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and BMS handshake protocol across the K93 and A93 chassis lines. One cell covers all three OEM part numbers because the connector pinout and communication protocol did not change between revisions.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a K93SV board. The BMS negotiated correctly at first contact, the fuel gauge IC began tracking state-of-charge within the first cycle, and charge termination fired cleanly at full capacity.
- Post-install calibration for the K93: After fitting, run the laptop on battery until it reaches hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears on the first boot after a cell swap.
Why the K93 BIOS reports poor battery health after a cell swap
The K93 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM embedded in the original battery pack. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM contains factory defaults — not real cycle data — so the BIOS flags the battery as degraded or unknown. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% gives the fuel gauge IC enough data to overwrite those defaults. After two to three cycles the BIOS health indicator corrects itself.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the K93
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrating against the new cell's voltage curve. The old cell's discharge profile is stored in firmware, so the gauge misreads the new cell's actual voltage cliff. Under full CPU and display load, the system hits the real low-voltage cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff once, then recharge to 100% — the gauge recalibrates and the shutdowns stop. Verify the pack is holding above 10.2V under load before assuming a fault.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Asus K93 shows the new battery as 0% or "unknown" and won't charge — what's happening?
The fuel gauge IC on the K93 board lost its reference when the old cell was removed, so it has no baseline to read the new cell against. Plug in the charger and leave the laptop connected for at least two hours without powering it on — this lets the BMS initialise and the gauge IC establish a starting voltage reference. If the system still shows 0% after that, trigger a battery learn cycle: boot into BIOS, confirm the battery is detected at the hardware level, then do one full discharge to hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%.
Windows is showing this replacement battery with the wrong Wh rating — it says 48Wh but my original showed 56Wh or similar. Is the cell undersized?
The Wh figure Windows reports is pulled from the battery's EEPROM, which stores the manufacturer's rated value at the time of programming — not a live measurement. Different production runs of A32-K93 cells were sometimes programmed with slightly different rated values even at the same chemistry and capacity. The actual electrochemical capacity of this cell is 47.52Wh as measured at the terminals. If the reported figure concerns you, run a full discharge-to-hibernate cycle and check the "last full charge" value in Windows Battery Report — that live figure is what matters.
New battery is stuck at 80% and won't charge higher on the K93 — is the cell defective?
This is almost always a BIOS-side charge limit, not a cell fault. Asus notebooks in this generation shipped with a battery health charging mode that caps charge at 80% to reduce cell stress during long periods on AC power. Check the Asus Battery Health Charging utility in Windows — if it's set to "Balanced" or "Maximum Lifespan" mode, switch it to "Full Capacity" mode. The battery will then charge to 100% on the next cycle. The cell itself has no internal ceiling at 80%.
