This is a 3.8V, 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Asus MeMO Pad 10 ME103K 10-inch Android tablet. It replaces OEM part numbers C11P1411 and 0B200-01220000. Compatible with ME103K 1A, ME0310K 1B, ME0310K 6A, and related variants in the ME103K line.

  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the ME103K platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake cleanly, held voltage above 3.6V under combined display and WiFi load, and completed a full cycle without cutoff events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff — do not force-close it. Then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This single cycle lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the percentage drift that appears immediately after installation.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% after battery replacement

The ME103K's fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the old cell's voltage-capacity curve. A new cell sits at a different voltage at the same state-of-charge, so the IC miscalculates the remaining capacity and triggers a low-battery shutdown early. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle, the IC resets its endpoints and the early shutoff stops.

Fast charging unavailable after battery swap on ME103K

Some ME103K units report fast charge as unavailable during the first one or two charge sessions after a battery swap. The charge IC needs at least one accepted full cycle before it re-establishes the correct USB negotiation parameters with the new cell. Plug in using the original Asus charger — not a generic cable — and allow a complete charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, fast charge availability returns to normal on supported chargers.

That's fuel gauge drift. The ME103K's gas gauge IC was calibrated to your original cell's voltage curve, and the new cell sits at a different voltage at the same state-of-charge, so the IC calls a false empty. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% on the Asus charger. That one cycle resets the IC's discharge endpoints and the random shutoffs stop.

The tablet feels warm on the back while charging after I fitted the replacement cell — should I be concerned?

Warmth during charging on a new lithium-polymer cell is normal. The charge IC runs a conditioning process on a fresh cell, which generates slightly more heat than a broken-in battery. If the tablet is uncomfortable to hold or the heat is concentrated in one spot rather than spread evenly, stop charging and check the connector seating. Evenly distributed warmth that fades once charging completes is not a fault.

Battery percentage is dropping from 100% much faster than expected after the swap — did I get a faulty cell?

Almost certainly not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC still has its old calibration data stored from the degraded original battery, so it overestimates how quickly the new cell is draining. Discharge the tablet completely to automatic shutoff — do not top it up partway — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that one full cycle the IC recalculates its capacity map against the new cell and percentage drop rate returns to normal.
