Fits Asus P552w smartphone; replaces OEM part numbers SBP-18, 07G016013850, and TC01385083949161.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2200mAh delivers 8.14Wh — sufficient for full-day calling and messaging on this device.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a flat locking tab on the left side; seat firmly until the tab clicks.
We bench-tested this cell on a P552w fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted charge without faults and voltage held steady under modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus P552w — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SBP-18)

This is a 3.7V, 2200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Asus P552w smartphone. It fits directly in place of the original SBP-18 cell. The P552w is a Windows Phone-based device, and this battery restores full power to calling, messaging, and app functions.

  • P552w platform fit: The P552w uses a specific connector and BMS handshake tied to the SBP-18 form factor. This cell matches the 52.18 × 42.03 × 10.15mm footprint and the 3.7V nominal voltage rail the device's charge IC expects. Swapping an incorrect cell voltage here causes the charge controller to reject the battery entirely.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the P552w platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault flags, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge through the full curve without erratic readings mid-cycle.
  • First-cycle calibration on the P552w: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before enabling high-current charging. The fuel gauge IC on this device calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve on that first cycle. Skipping this step leaves the percentage readout misaligned by up to 15% for days.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the P552w after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped to the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point that the old curve read as 20–30%, the IC can't predict the real voltage drop under modem or screen load. The phone shuts down not because the cell is empty, but because the IC flagged an unexpected voltage cliff. One full discharge cycle — drain to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — forces the coulomb counter to remap against the new cell. After that cycle, shutdowns at falsely low percentages stop.

P552w not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells in storage self-discharge over time. If the cell drops below 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage from deep discharge. The P552w won't power on and may show no charging indicator at all when connected to USB. Connect the device to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. The charge IC will trickle-charge the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the device will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Asus P552w shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new SBP-18 — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the P552w calibrates its percentage readout against the discharge curve of whichever cell it last learned — in this case, your old degraded battery. The new cell has a different internal resistance and voltage curve, so the IC is reading off an outdated map. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-off, then charge straight to 100% without interruption, and the coulomb counter will remap itself to the new cell.

Fast charging stopped working on my P552w right after I installed the replacement battery — what's wrong?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the P552w's charge IC sometimes won't accept the high-current handshake until it has completed at least one standard charge cycle on the new cell. This isn't a fault — the BMS is confirming cell impedance before allowing elevated current. Charge once at standard speed to 100%, let the phone sit at full charge for five minutes, then reconnect. Fast charging should be accepted from the second cycle onward.

The Asus P552w feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacing it — should I stop charging?

Mild warmth on the first one or two cycles is expected. A new cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat while pushing current in. As long as the phone is warm but not hot to the touch, charging can continue. If the device becomes uncomfortable to hold or the charger disconnects on its own, stop and check that the replacement cell is seated flat against the contacts with no gap or tilt.
