Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus T101HA Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (0B200-02120000)
This is a 3.85V, 8200mAh (31.57Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Asus T101HA and T101-M0I convertible notebooks. It replaces OEM part numbers 0B200-02120000, 0B200-02120100, AD2068520, and C12N1604. Fits the T101HA, T101HA-3D, T101HA-3E, and over fifty additional T101HA variants.
- T101HA platform compatibility: All T101HA variants share a single battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The voltage rail and EEPROM data structure are identical across the 3D, 3E, and M0I sub-models, so one cell covers the full range without hardware modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the T101HA platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the BIOS, charge termination triggered cleanly at capacity, and the protection circuit responded to over-current conditions without nuisance tripping.
- Post-install calibration on the T101HA: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the false "poor health" warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
Why the T101HA BIOS reports poor battery health after a cell swap
The T101HA stores battery health data in EEPROM on the original cell. When a new cell is installed, the BIOS reads residual EEPROM values from its own learned history and flags the battery as degraded before it has run a single cycle. This is a firmware behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% gives the BIOS enough data to overwrite the stale health flag. After two to three calibration cycles, the reported health figure stabilises.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the T101HA
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The OS shows 20–30% remaining, but the IC has mapped that reading against the old cell's degraded profile, so the voltage reading hits the shutdown threshold earlier than expected. It is not a cell defect — the gauge needs two or three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles to relearn the new curve. After calibration, the shutdown point drops back to the correct low-voltage cutoff near 3.0V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Asus T101HA BIOS is showing the battery as "unknown" or 0% right after I installed the new cell — is something wrong with it?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The T101HA BIOS reads EEPROM data written by the original battery, and a fresh cell arrives with no matching history, so the firmware flags it as unknown until it builds a new dataset. Run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one or two full cycles the BIOS relearns the battery and the unknown status clears.
Windows is showing a different Wh rating for this battery than what the original cell listed — why does the number not match?
The Wh figure shown in Windows pulls from the EEPROM of the installed cell, which stores the rated design capacity. The replacement cell is rated at 31.57Wh, while a used or partially degraded original may have reported a lower full-charge capacity. If the figure shown is higher than the old cell, the new cell is reporting its actual rated value correctly — check Device Manager under Batteries and confirm the design capacity reads 31570mWh.
My T101HA stops charging at around 80% and will not go higher — is the new battery faulty?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Asus notebooks include a Battery Health Charging mode in MyASUS or the ASUS Battery Health Charging utility that caps charge at 60%, 80%, or 100% to reduce long-term cell stress. Open MyASUS, go to Customization, and check the Battery Health Charging setting — switch it to Full Capacity Mode and the charge ceiling returns to 100%.
