Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus Transformer Mini T102HA — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C12N1607)
This is a 3.85V, 8200mAh (31.57Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Asus Transformer Mini T102H and T102HA series. It fits the detachable tablet unit directly, replacing OEM part C12N1607 and cross-references 0B200-02230100 and 0B200-02230000. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- T102H and T102HA tablet unit: Both share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The slim 3.05mm cell profile is specific to this detachable form factor — thicker cells from other Transformer lines will not seat correctly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a T102HA unit. The BMS completed handshake without fault codes, charge acceptance held at full rated capacity, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
- First-cycle calibration on the T102HA: After fitting, run the tablet down to automatic hibernate, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
Why the T102HA shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap
The Transformer Mini's fuel gauge IC builds its charge map against the previous cell's discharge curve. A new cell has a different voltage-capacity slope, so the gauge underestimates remaining charge and triggers shutdown well before the cell is actually depleted. This is not a fault with the replacement battery — it is a calibration mismatch. Running two full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted-charge cycles forces the IC to relearn the new cell's curve. After those cycles, the reported percentage tracks accurately.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor or unknown immediately after install
The T102HA reads battery health from EEPROM data embedded in the original cell's BMS. A replacement cell ships with its own EEPROM values, which the BIOS has not yet validated — so it flags the battery as unknown or degraded on first boot. This clears after the BIOS completes one full battery learn cycle. Discharge the tablet fully to hibernate, then charge to 100% on AC without interruption. After that cycle, the BIOS should report a normal health status.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Transformer Mini T102HA shows 0% or "unknown" battery in Windows right after I put the new cell in — is something wrong with it?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The T102HA pulls battery health data from the EEPROM on the original BMS, and a new cell carries different stored values the BIOS has not yet validated. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% on AC — that completes the BIOS learn cycle and clears the unknown status.
My T102HA has a new battery installed but the Wh rating in Windows System Information shows a number that doesn't match the 31.57Wh spec — why?
Windows reads the rated Wh figure directly from the cell's EEPROM, which reflects the manufacturer's nominal chemistry rating rather than the measured capacity of the new cell. The two numbers can differ by a small margin without indicating a fault. After one or two full calibration cycles, the OS fuel gauge recalculates against the actual discharge curve and the displayed figure will stabilise closer to the rated value.
The tablet charges fine but the battery percentage jumps around wildly for the first few days — normal?
Yes. The fuel gauge IC on the T102HA platform needs several discharge-and-charge cycles to map the new cell's voltage curve accurately. Until that calibration settles, the percentage can jump in large increments or stall for long periods. Run two full discharges to hibernate-cutoff followed by full uninterrupted charges to 100%, and the gauge will track the new cell smoothly from that point.
