Fits Asus ZenBook Pro UX501J, UX501L, N501VW — replaces OEM part C32N1415.
11.4V, 8200mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity to aging ZenBook Pro systems.
Connector seats into the internal slot with no locking tab — slides straight in.
We bench-tested this cell in a UX501J under sustained CPU and display load.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenBook Pro UX501J / UX501L / N501VW — 11.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C32N1415)

This is an 11.4V, 8200mAh (93.48Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Asus ZenBook Pro UX501J, UX501L, and N501VW series laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers C32N1415 and 0B200-01250000. Fit the battery when the original no longer holds charge or fails to register in the BIOS.

  • UX501 and N501VW platform fit: These models share the same 11.4V three-cell Li-Polymer rail, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — so one cell pack covers the full UX501 and N501VW lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a ZenBook Pro UX501J under combined CPU and display load. The BMS held the voltage rail steady through repeated high-draw cycles and triggered thermal cutoff only at the rated upper limit — no false trips.
  • Post-install discharge cycle on the ZenBook Pro: After fitting, run the laptop from 100% down to hibernate cutoff without plugging in — do not interrupt. Then charge uninterrupted back to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the false "poor health" warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

ZenBook Pro UX501 shutting down at 20–30% shown on screen

This is a voltage cliff — the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track under combined CPU and 4K display load. At around 20–25% indicated, the actual cell voltage falls below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS registers it. The fuel gauge IC needs two or three full discharge-charge cycles to recalibrate its model against the new cell chemistry. After those cycles, shutdowns at falsely high percentages stop.

BIOS reporting the replacement battery Wh rating as incorrect

The BIOS reads Wh data from the battery's EEPROM, which stores the rated capacity written at the factory. If the EEPROM value differs from what the BIOS expects — common after a cell swap — system info may show a mismatched Wh figure. This is an EEPROM data mismatch, not a cell fault. Run a full discharge-to-hibernate then a full uninterrupted charge; the BIOS battery learn cycle will update its stored value. After one complete cycle, recheck the Wh figure in MyASUS or the Windows power report — it should align with the rated 93.48Wh.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZenBook Pro UX501J shows 0% and "unknown battery" right after I installed the new cell — is it dead?

It isn't dead. The BIOS lost its EEPROM reference data from the old cell and hasn't yet mapped the new one. Plug the charger in and leave it connected for a full uninterrupted charge to 100%, then discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge again to 100%. After that learn cycle, the BIOS updates its stored battery profile and the 0% or "unknown" status clears.

The fuel gauge is jumping around — showing 60%, then 45%, then 70% within minutes on my UX501L. What's going on?

The fuel gauge IC uses a model built on data from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC's internal model doesn't match the new cell's actual discharge curve, so the percentage readout swings wildly. Run three full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles without interrupting either phase. By the third cycle the IC recalibrates its model and the percentage stabilises.

My ZenBook Pro N501VW won't charge above 80% since I swapped the battery — charger light stays on but percentage stops climbing.

This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault with the replacement cell. Asus firmware on this platform includes a battery care mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress — it's often enabled by default after a battery event or BIOS reset. Open MyASUS, go to Customization → Battery Health Charging, and switch the mode from "Balanced" or "Maximum Lifespan" to "Full Capacity." The charge ceiling lifts immediately and the cell will charge to 100%.
