Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus Zenfone C ZC451CG — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B11P1421)
This 3.8V, 2150mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original B11P1421 battery in the Asus Zenfone C (ZC451CG, Z007). It fits the standard battery bay and connects to the same flex cable and charge IC as the factory unit. Voltage and capacity match OEM specs exactly — no modifications needed.
- ZC451CG and Z007 compatibility: Both model numbers reference the same hardware platform — identical battery bay dimensions (59.82 × 53.34 × 5.30 mm), the same 3.8V charge rail, and the same BMS handshake with the Zenfone C's charge IC. One cell covers both variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge-charge sequence on the ZC451CG. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without fault codes, and protection circuits triggered correctly at both high-current and trickle-charge thresholds.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC one clean cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Zenfone C after a cell swap
The Zenfone C's fuel gauge IC holds a learned discharge curve from the old cell. A new cell has a different internal resistance profile, so the IC misreads remaining capacity and triggers shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. This is a calibration gap, not a fault with the replacement battery. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter and eliminates premature cutoffs. After that cycle, the percentage readout stabilises.
Phone stays on the Asus logo after replacement — won't boot
If a replacement cell has sat in storage, its voltage may have dropped below the BMS lockout threshold — typically under 2.5V per cell — which causes the phone to stall at the boot logo or refuse to power on at all. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a PC port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. A PC USB port often can't supply enough current to wake a locked-out BMS. Once the charge IC detects a rising cell voltage above the lockout floor, the BMS releases and the phone boots normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Zenfone C shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in a new battery — is something broken?
Nothing is broken. The fuel gauge IC inside the phone was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC's stored map no longer matches the actual cell behaviour, so it reports inaccurate percentages. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — this forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell. After that single cycle, the percentage readout tracks correctly.
Fast charging stopped working on the Zenfone C after fitting the replacement — it only charges slowly now.
On first contact with a new cell, the charge IC on the Zenfone C sometimes defaults to trickle or standard charge while it verifies the BMS handshake. This is normal protective behaviour and usually clears after one complete charge cycle. If fast charging still doesn't activate after a full cycle, check that the charger output is at least 5V/2A — a low-output adapter won't trigger the faster charge profile regardless of cell condition. Switch to the original Asus charger or a verified 5V/2A adapter and start a fresh charge from below 20%.
The Zenfone C feels warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected. A new cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat while current flows into it. Temperatures that feel warm to the touch but not hot are within normal range. If the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably or the charge IC triggers a thermal pause — shown as charging stopping and restarting — remove the case to improve airflow and charge at room temperature rather than on a soft surface.
