Fits LG G Pro 2, D838, D837, VS880 G Vista and replaces OEM battery BL-47TH.
Delivers 3.8V at 3200mAh capacity — standard for this 2013 flagship, sustains screen and modem load without voltage sag.
Single flat connector tab slides into battery slot at phone base; orientation keyed by tab shape and housing notch.
We cycled the cell through full discharge under WiFi and 3G load — BMS accepted charge at normal current, fuel gauge tracked capacity without lag.
On first installation, run one complete charge-discharge cycle without fast charging enabled — this lets the phone's coulomb counter recalibrate to the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG G Pro 2 / G Vista — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-47TH)

This is a 3.8V, 3200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the LG G Pro 2 and related variants including the D838, D837, and VS880 G Vista. It uses OEM part number BL-47TH and fits the original battery slot without modification. Capacity is rated at 12.16Wh.

  • G Pro 2, D838, D837, VS880 compatibility: These models share the same 3.8V single-cell architecture, BL-47TH connector pin layout, and BMS communication protocol — that is why one cell covers all of them. The charge IC on each device negotiates with the battery over the same lines.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the G Pro 2 and VS880 G Vista. The BMS handshake completed on first insertion, the fuel gauge IC accepted the cell, and the charge IC held current within the expected taper curve to termination voltage.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This allows the fuel gauge IC to map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter locks in its reference points.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the G Pro 2 after a cell swap

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff under high screen or modem load, so the phone hits the hardware cutoff before the percentage counter reaches zero. The device shuts down even though the reported percentage looks safe. One full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current resets the coulomb counter reference and eliminates the premature cutoff.

Phone will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks current to protect the cell from damage. Plugging in the charger normally shows no response. Connect to a wall adapter — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The G Pro 2 shows 25% battery but shuts off without warning — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the G Pro 2 was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and the new cell has a sharper voltage drop under modem and display load. The phone hits the hardware undervoltage cutoff before the percentage counter reaches zero. Run one full discharge cycle at standard charge current — no fast charging — and the coulomb counter will recalibrate to the new cell's curve.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped in the new BL-47TH — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell replacement, the charge IC on the G Pro 2 sometimes falls back to standard current because the BMS on the new cell has not yet completed a full handshake with the fuel gauge IC. This is normal and not a defect. Complete one full discharge-to-termination charge cycle at the slower rate, then reconnect the charger. Fast charging typically resumes once the BMS and fuel gauge IC have exchanged a full dataset.

The battery percentage jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then jumps to 40%, then back up — what is causing this?

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell in real time. The coulomb counter accumulated drift data from the old cell and is now receiving a different voltage profile from the BL-47TH. The erratic readings settle after one or two full discharge-to-charge cycles as the IC builds an accurate internal model of the new cell's capacity curve. Do not interrupt those first two cycles early — let each one run to full termination voltage at the charger.
