Replaces Asus C11P1702 battery for ZenFone V Live, V Live LTE, V500KL, A009 models.
3.85V and 2700mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on this Li-Polymer cell for daily smartphone use.
Connector slides straight into the original battery slot with no mechanical locking tab or orientation restriction required.
We cycled this pack through five full discharge-charge runs; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell voltage curve without lockout or early cutoff errors.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete cycle — this lets the coulomb counter recalibrate to the new cell's discharge curve before USB-PD pushes current again.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenFone V Live — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C11P1702)

This is a 3.85V, 2700mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Asus ZenFone V Live, ZenFone V Live LTE, V500KL, and A009. It replaces the original C11P1702 cell when capacity has dropped from repeated charge cycles. The battery connects to the same board-mounted flex connector as the factory cell.

  • V500KL and A009 platform fit: These model numbers share the same PCB layout, connector pitch, and BMS handshake protocol — all drawing from the same 3.85V rail. One cell covers all variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the C11P1702 replacement through a full charge cycle on the V500KL board. The charge IC accepted the cell, BMS communication initialized correctly, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking within the first discharge pass.
  • First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell — which can cause premature charge termination or erratic percentage readings.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell has a different voltage-versus-capacity slope, so the gauge reads 25% while actual cell voltage has already hit the modem's cutoff threshold. Under screen-on or LTE load, the voltage drops sharply and the phone shuts off before the gauge reaches zero. Run one full discharge to below 5%, then charge to 100% uninterrupted — this forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor its endpoints to the new cell.

Phone reports wrong battery percentage after cell swap

The fuel gauge IC stores learned capacity data from the old cell in non-volatile memory. After a swap, it applies that old curve to a cell with a different internal resistance and capacity profile, producing inaccurate readings. Percentage may jump several points or flatline at a fixed number. A single full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the learned parameters — after that cycle, percentage tracking stabilises to within a few percent of actual.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZenFone V Live shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it learned from your old cell, and when LTE or the screen pulls current, the new cell's voltage drops past the cutoff threshold before the gauge reaches zero. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. That single cycle re-anchors the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual endpoints.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — what happened?

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to standard current until it handshakes with the new BMS. This is normal behaviour on the ZenFone V Live platform — the USB-PD negotiation layer re-verifies cell parameters before enabling high-current mode. Unplug, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect. If fast charge still doesn't engage after one full standard charge cycle completes, clear the battery stats in recovery and retry.

The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — how do I recover it?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below 2.5V the BMS trips into lockout mode to prevent damage. Plug into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. Wall adapters push enough trickle current through the charge IC to pull the cell voltage back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the phone will boot normally.
