Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BG977ABU)
This 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number EB-BG977ABU in the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. It fits the SM-G977 series, including SM-G977V and SM-G977U variants. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or shuts down unexpectedly under load.
- SM-G977 series compatibility: All SM-G977 variants share the same physical cell pocket, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The voltage rail runs at 3.85V nominal, and the charge IC expects a lithium-polymer cell with matched impedance — this cell meets both requirements.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle on an SM-G977V. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, the charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases cleanly, and coulomb counter registration completed after one full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: On first use, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated reference table.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still references the old cell's discharge curve. When the S10 5G hits a peak load — 5G modem handoff, sustained screen brightness, or GPS — the new cell's voltage drops faster than the old curve predicts. The phone reads 25% but the cell voltage has already fallen below the BMS protection threshold. Run one full discharge to 1% under normal use, then charge to 100% without interruption, and the coulomb counter re-anchors to the new curve.
USB-PD fast charge not activating after the cell swap
After a cell replacement, the charge IC on the S10 5G sometimes defaults to standard 5V input and won't negotiate USB-PD fast charge on the first cycle. This is a handshake timing issue between the new BMS and the device's charge controller — not a cable or charger fault. Power the phone fully off, connect the original Samsung fast charger, then power back on. If fast charge still doesn't activate, complete one standard-rate charge cycle first, then retry.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Galaxy S10 5G powers off at around 25% after putting in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC recalibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so when voltage drops below the BMS threshold under 5G or screen load, the phone shuts down before the display reaches 0%. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — the coulomb counter resets to the new cell curve after that cycle.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage. Connect the original Samsung charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC runs a trickle pre-charge phase to bring the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage climbs past 3.0V, the BMS releases and the phone will power on normally.
The battery percentage jumps around erratically — shows 60%, then suddenly drops to 40% — after the swap. What fixes this?
Erratic percentage jumps mean the fuel gauge IC's internal reference table still reflects the old cell's impedance profile. The coulomb counter loses track when the new cell's voltage response under load doesn't match stored data. Discharge the phone fully to automatic shutdown under normal use, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session — do not top up in short intervals. After two full cycles the gauge IC settles and the percentage readings stabilise.
