Drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then reconnect the charger and let it run a full charge without unplugging. Once the BMS completes one clean cycle, the fast-charge protocol re-negotiates and full charge rate resumes.
The MeiZu 15 won't power on at all after the BA881 sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — how do I recover it?
If cell voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent charging a deeply discharged Li-Polymer cell at full current. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes and the phone will power on.
