Fits Samsung Galaxy Note 10 (SM-N9700, SM-N970U1, SM-N970W) and replaces OEM battery EB-BN970ABU.
Delivers 3.85V at 2900mAh (11.17Wh) — matches original capacity, restores full daily runtime without mid-day recharges.
Connector slides straight onto board with polarity key; locking tab seats flush against the Note 10 frame.
We bench-tested the BMS against the Qualcomm PMI8998 fuel gauge IC; charge accepted cleanly, voltage held stable under load simulation.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging runs.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BN970ABU)

This 3.85V Li-Polymer battery replaces the EB-BN970ABU cell in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, SM-N9700, SM-N970U1, SM-N970W, and related variants. Capacity is 2900mAh (11.17Wh), matching the original cell specification. It fits devices where the original cell has degraded and can no longer hold a usable charge through a full day.

  • Note 10 series compatibility: The SM-N970 variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits the full range without physical modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Note 10 unit. The BMS accepted the cell, thermal monitoring stayed within spec, and the charge IC handed off correctly at 4.35V termination voltage.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff problem. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge model it built on the old, degraded cell. When modem activity or display load pulls a high current burst, the new cell's voltage drops sharply at the bottom of its curve. The system reads that drop as a critical low and shuts down, even though capacity remains. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging forces the IC to rebuild its model against the actual cell chemistry.

USB-PD fast charge not accepted on the first cycle after replacement

After a cell swap, the charge IC on the Note 10 sometimes refuses to negotiate fast charge protocols until it completes one standard charge pass. The BMS flags the new cell as unverified and caps input current as a precaution. Plug into a standard 5V/1A charger and run one full cycle to completion. After that cycle, the USB-PD handshake should restore on the next fast-charge connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Note 10 shuts off at around 25% charge — is this a faulty replacement cell?

Not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to your old degraded battery's discharge curve. When the new cell hits a voltage drop under screen or modem load near the bottom of its range, the IC interprets it as a crash and triggers shutdown. Run one full discharge to near zero, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging. After that cycle the IC recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage is jumping around erratically after I replaced the cell — what's causing this?

The coulomb counter inside the Note 10 learned the old cell's behaviour over hundreds of cycles. A new cell with a different discharge curve confuses it during the first few charges. The percentage reads correctly at 100% and 0% but bounces in between while the IC builds a new model. One complete discharge-charge cycle — ideally at standard charge current, not fast charge — stabilises the readings. After two cycles the jumps should stop.

My Note 10 won't power on at all after the replacement battery arrived — it sat in a drawer for a while before I installed it.

If the cell discharged below 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent further cell damage. The phone will show no response to the power button. Connect it to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to recover it above the BMS release threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point the phone will boot normally.
