Fits Lenovo Tab 7 (TB-7504F, TB-7504X) and replaces OEM part L16D1P33.
This 3.8V, 3400mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full tablet runtime on the Tab 7 platform.
Connector is proprietary Lenovo two-pin; physical dimensions are 95.00 x 83.60 x 2.62mm.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted charge cycles without fault codes; voltage curve tracked nominal.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves the inaccurate percentage display that appears after a swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Tab 7 TB-7504F / TB-7504X — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L16D1P33)

This is a 3.8V, 3400mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Lenovo Tab 7, fitting both the TB-7504F and TB-7504X variants. It replaces OEM part L16D1P33. If your tablet no longer holds a charge or shuts down unexpectedly, this cell restores normal operation.

  • TB-7504F and TB-7504X compatibility: Both tablet variants run the same 3.8V power rail and use an identical connector and BMS handshake, so one cell covers the full Tab 7 range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the TB-7504 platform and confirmed the BMS communicated correctly with the charge IC — no fault flags, no cutoff errors during normal load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before using it again. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear right after a replacement.

Lenovo Tab 7 shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens because the fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old, degraded cell. When the original cell aged, its voltage curve flattened at low charge levels — and the gauge learned that curve. With a new cell installed, the voltage drops more steeply at the same state of charge, and the tablet's low-voltage protection trips before the gauge catches up. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single cycle, the gauge relearns the new cell's curve and the premature shutdowns stop.

Fast charging not available after battery swap on Tab 7

Some users report that fast charging stops working immediately after a replacement. The charge IC needs at least one completed charge cycle on the new cell before it re-negotiates the higher current draw with the charger. Use the original Lenovo charger and cable — third-party cables with high resistance can prevent the handshake from completing. After one full charge cycle from near-empty to 100%, fast charge availability typically returns without any further steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Lenovo Tab 7 shows a completely different battery percentage after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the TB-7504 was calibrated against your old battery's voltage curve, and the new cell has different charge and discharge characteristics. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without using it mid-charge. That single full cycle re-anchors the gauge to the new cell, and the percentage display should read accurately from that point on.

The Lenovo Tab 7 goes warm while charging the new battery — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during charging is normal when a new lithium-polymer cell first conditions with the charge IC. The charge controller runs a slightly higher acceptance current on early cycles while it profiles the cell's internal resistance. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charging IC shows a fault in Lenovo's diagnostics, stop charging and check the charger output voltage — it should be 5V at the tablet's USB input.

My Tab 7 percentage drops fast from 100% in the first few days after replacing the battery — will it stabilise?

Yes. Fuel gauge drift is common in the first two or three cycles after a swap because the IC hasn't yet mapped the new cell's discharge curve accurately. Each full discharge-to-shutoff and uninterrupted charge-to-100% cycle gives the gauge more data points to work with. By the third full cycle, the reported percentage should track the actual charge state closely and the apparent fast drop from a full charge will level out.
