Fits Autec DJM, DJR, FJM, and FJR wireless remote transmitters; replaces OEM part numbers LPM04 and R0BATT00E12A0.
7.4V and 5000mAh chemistry delivers sustained power for solenoid activation and directional commands on overhead crane systems.
Connector type is proprietary Autec push-fit with mechanical locking tab; orientation keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested the cell under repeated solenoid draw cycles; BMS held voltage stable and showed no cutoff until full discharge.
On first install after storage, connect the charger for 15 minutes before operating — cells shipped at storage voltage need a BMS wake-up cycle to respond to the remote's control circuitry.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Autec DJM / FJM Series — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LPM04)

This 7.4V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original LPM04 cell in Autec DJM, DJR, FJM, and FJR wireless crane remote transmitters. It fits the handheld unit that operators use to control overhead cranes and lifting equipment from the floor. Voltage and capacity match the OEM spec exactly — 7.4V, 5000mAh (37Wh).

  • DJM, DJR, FJM, FJR transmitter fit: These four Autec remote families share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — all four accept the LPM04 cell on the same voltage rail without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge-discharge sequences on the DJM transmitter. The BMS responded correctly at both low-voltage cutoff and charge-complete thresholds — no false trips, no communication errors with the transmitter's onboard controller.
  • Storage charge for infrequent crane operations: If the remote sits idle between jobs, charge this battery once a month. Li-Polymer cells that drop below 2.5V per cell can trigger BMS lockout — the charger connects but the battery will not respond.

Solenoid activation causing power dropout mid-operation

When a crane remote triggers a solenoid or contactor, the inrush current spike can exceed what a degraded or partially charged battery can sustain. The BMS interprets this as an over-current event and cuts output to protect the cells. This appears as the remote going dark or resetting exactly when a hoist or travel function is commanded. A fully charged 5000mAh cell at 7.4V handles this inrush load — a cell sitting at storage voltage of around 3.8V per cell often cannot.

Remote showing low-battery warning immediately after new cell install

Li-Polymer cells ship at storage voltage — typically 3.7–3.85V per cell, not full charge. The Autec transmitter reads this as low battery because its threshold is set above storage level. This is not a faulty cell. Connect the battery to the Autec charger and bring it to full charge before the first use. Once at 4.2V per cell, the low-battery indicator will clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Autec crane remote won't power on at all after sitting unused for several months — is the battery dead?

Most likely the battery has entered deep-discharge BMS lockout, not full cell failure. Li-Polymer cells discharged below 2.5V per cell cause the BMS to shut down output entirely, so the transmitter gets no power even when a charger is connected. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power the remote on — this gives the BMS trickle circuit time to recover the cell voltage above the lockout threshold. If the charge indicator light does not respond after 45 minutes, the original cell has likely gone below the point of recovery and needs replacing.

The remote cuts out or resets every time I activate a hoist or travel function — new battery, same problem. What's causing this?

This is a BMS over-current trip triggered by the inrush current spike when the solenoid or contactor energises. The BMS cuts output to protect the cells, and the remote resets mid-command. It happens most often when the battery is below 50% charge, because internal resistance is higher and voltage sag under load is greater. Charge the battery fully to 8.4V (4.2V per cell) before use — at full charge the 5000mAh cell sustains the inrush load without tripping the BMS threshold.

The E-stop response on my Autec remote feels slower than it used to — could the battery be causing this?

E-stop response time on the Autec DJM series is voltage-dependent — the transmitter's RF output and signal processing draw from the same cell, so a low or degraded battery increases latency between button press and crane stop. A cell that reads 7.0V or below under light load is already marginal for safety-critical commands. Check the battery voltage with a multimeter under no load — if it reads below 7.2V, charge to full 8.4V before any lift operation.
