Fits Banksys Xentissimo barcode scanner, replaces OEM part BSYS05006.
3.7V, 1800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers steady trigger voltage through extended scan cycles.
Connector slides into scanner grip slot; locking tab seats flush with housing edge.
Bench testing confirmed stable BMS voltage during rapid trigger pulses and wireless burst traffic.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before field use — the scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS trips on the first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Banksys Xentissimo — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BSYS05006)

This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Banksys Xentissimo handheld barcode scanner. It fits the Xentissimo directly and matches the original cell's voltage rail and physical footprint. OEM part numbers BSYS05006 and 3032610137 both cross-reference to this pack.

  • Xentissimo platform fit: The Xentissimo uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a proprietary connector that also carries BMS communication data. This replacement runs the same voltage rail and carries the same BMS handshake, so the scanner's charge indicator and low-battery alert behave normally after the swap.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan-trigger bursts and wireless polling draws simultaneously. The BMS held stable at both ends of the charge curve — no false cutoffs during high-frequency scanning, no voltage sag tripping the protection circuit at load.
  • First-shift charging tip: After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before use. The scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum — a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips during the first pick-and-pack shift.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

A charging error on the Xentissimo cradle with a new pack almost always comes down to dock contact resistance, not a faulty battery. The cradle contacts are spring-loaded and pick up oxidation and dust from warehouse floors over time. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle with a dry cloth, reseat the scanner firmly, and the error clears in most cases. If the cradle still shows an error, check that the contact pins are seated flush and not pushed back into the housing.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

During high-frequency scanning, the radio transmitter and scan trigger fire nearly simultaneously, creating a combined inrush draw that a degraded or low cell cannot sustain. The voltage briefly sags below the radio module's minimum threshold, dropping the wireless connection mid-burst. This is not a firmware or pairing issue — it is a power delivery problem. Install the new pack, fully charge it before use, and the connection will hold through rapid scan sequences.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Xentissimo stopped reading barcodes right after I put the new battery in — what's wrong?

The imager or laser needs a minimum supply voltage to fire at full power, and a new pack shipped in a partially discharged state can sit just below that threshold. Put the scanner in the cradle and run a full charge cycle before attempting any scans. Once the cell reaches 4.2V and the BMS releases the pack to full output, the imager will fire normally.

My Xentissimo runs noticeably warm after a few hours of continuous scanning — is that a battery issue?

Sustained scan-trigger draw combined with constant wireless polling produces significant heat inside the Xentissimo's enclosed housing, and a degraded original battery amplifies this because internal resistance converts more energy to heat than to usable output. With a fresh 1800mAh pack, internal resistance is low and heat generation drops back to normal operating levels. If the unit still runs hot with the new pack, check that the cradle contacts are clean and making solid connection — a high-resistance charge path forces the BMS to work harder on every cycle.

The Xentissimo shows a low-battery warning much sooner into the shift than it used to — is the new pack faulty?

This usually means the scanner's battery gauge is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run the new pack down until the scanner powers off from low voltage, then charge it fully in the cradle without interrupting the cycle. That full discharge-and-recharge pass resets the gauge's reference points, and the low-battery warning will return to triggering at the correct state of charge.
