Fits Fujitsu iPAD 100, iPAD 100-10, iPAD 100-10RF, iPAD 100-14 and related models; replaces OEM part numbers DT-5023BAT, DT-5024LBAT, CA50601-1000.
3.7V, 1800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the charge capacity needed for multi-shift warehouse and retail scanning without midday depletes.
Connector seats flush into the iPAD 100 battery slot with no adapter; locking tab holds the pack seated during scan trigger vibration.
We bench-tested this cell in an iPAD 100 dock; BMS accepted charge handshake on first insertion and held stable voltage under sustained scan-and-radio load.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before using in pick-and-pack operations—the scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS trips.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fujitsu iPAD 100 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DT-5023BAT)

This 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Fujitsu iPAD 100 family of handheld barcode scanners. It fits the iPAD 100, iPAD 100-10, iPAD 100-10RF, iPAD 100-14, and additional variants sharing the same battery bay. OEM part numbers covered include DT-5023BAT, DT-5024LBAT, and CA50601-1000.

  • iPAD 100 series coverage: All listed variants run the same 3.7V supply rail, share an identical connector footprint, and use the same BMS handshake protocol — so one pack covers the full range without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan-trigger and wireless polling events. The BMS held voltage steady through combined inrush draws and cut off cleanly at low-cell threshold with no false trips.
  • First-shift preparation: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before the first pick-and-pack shift. Scan trigger inrush is highest when the cell is near minimum, and starting the shift with a fully charged pack prevents BMS trips during the first burst of rapid scans.

Why the iPAD 100 drops wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The iPAD 100 draws from the same cell for both the scan trigger and the wireless radio simultaneously. During rapid-fire scanning, the combined inrush pulls voltage down sharply. If the cell has any capacity fade, that voltage sag crosses the BMS cutoff threshold and the radio drops before the scan engine does. A fresh, fully charged pack raises the floor voltage enough to keep both loads stable through burst scanning.

Cradle showing a charging error after fitting a new pack

This error almost always comes from contact resistance at the dock pins, not a fault in the battery itself. Residue or slight oxidation on the pack's contact pads stops the dock from reading the pack correctly and it flags a charge fault. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle with a dry cloth, reseat the scanner firmly, and listen for the dock to confirm charge — the indicator should switch from error to charging within ten seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

My iPAD 100 scanner stopped reading barcodes right after I swapped the battery — what's wrong?

The scan engine needs minimum voltage at the laser or imager to fire reliably, and a new pack straight out of packaging may not be at full charge. Place the scanner in its cradle and charge it completely before attempting any scanning. Once the cell is full, the scan engine receives enough voltage to trigger cleanly. If the problem persists after a full charge, check that the battery is seated flush with no gap at the connector.

The scanner feels noticeably warm after a long shift — is that normal with this battery?

Moderate warmth is expected. The iPAD 100 housing is compact, and sustained scan activity combined with continuous wireless polling generates heat that has nowhere to go. What you want to avoid is heat that makes the casing uncomfortable to hold, which signals the BMS is working harder than it should — usually because the pack is being drawn down faster than it can recover. Rotate a second charged pack at the midpoint of a heavy shift to keep cell temperature in a safe range.

The new battery drains faster than expected when the scanner is scanning at high frequency — what's causing that?

Every scan trigger pull and every wireless packet transmission draws current from the same 1800mAh cell. At high scan rates — think rapid succession barcode reads across a large pick run — those draws stack and the pack depletes faster than a lower-frequency session would suggest. This is normal behaviour, not a defective pack. To verify the pack is performing correctly, let it charge fully, note the voltage at 4.20V off the cradle, and track how it holds across a timed shift at your actual scan frequency.
