Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK VIVO Y95 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-F9)
This is a 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell at 3.85V nominal, built to replace the original B-F9 battery in the VIVO Y95 smartphone. It matches the OEM connector, dimensions (79.10 × 64.06 × 4.60mm), and BMS handshake the Y95 charge IC expects. Capacity figure is 15.02Wh as rated from the product data.
- VIVO Y95 fit: The Y95 uses a dedicated battery bay sized for this exact cell footprint. The flex connector locks into the motherboard at the same pin-out as the original, so the charge controller recognises the BMS without a firmware flag.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge-discharge on the Y95 board and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly with the charge IC — no over-voltage trip, no premature cutoff at the top-of-charge threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the Y95 fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the VIVO Y95 after a cell swap
This happens because the Y95's fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the old curve mapped to 20–30%, the IC signals a low-voltage cutoff even though actual charge remains. The phone shuts down to protect against what it thinks is a voltage cliff. One full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic power-off, followed by a full charge, forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor to the new cell's actual capacity profile.
VIVO Y95 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the B-F9 dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks current flow entirely. The phone will show no sign of life — no charging indicator, no boot. Connect to a wall charger at 5V standard output (not a fast charger) and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button; this gives the BMS time to accept a trickle current and exit lockout before the main charge cycle starts. Once the charge LED activates, normal charging can resume.

Frequently Asked Questions
My VIVO Y95 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — is the new B-F9 cell faulty?
It is not a faulty cell. The Y95 fuel gauge IC calibrated its voltage-to-percentage map against your old degraded battery, and that map does not match the new cell's discharge curve. The phone interprets a mid-range voltage on the new cell as a critical low-voltage event and shuts down before the cell is actually depleted. Run one full discharge to automatic power-off followed by an uninterrupted full charge — the coulomb counter will re-anchor to the new B-F9 curve and the percentage readings will stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working on my Y95 after I fitted the replacement battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Y95 charge IC sometimes refuses to negotiate the proprietary fast-charge protocol because the BMS on the new cell has not yet completed a handshake cycle. This is normal behaviour on the first charge, not a fault with the battery or the charger. Complete one full standard-speed charge from near-empty to 100% without interruption. On the next charge cycle, plug in the fast charger and the protocol negotiation should complete correctly.
The battery percentage on my VIVO Y95 jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 40%, then climbs back up.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a cell voltage problem. The IC tracks charge state using a coulomb counter, and after a cell replacement that counter has no accurate baseline to work from. Erratic readings are most common in the first two or three cycles while the IC gathers discharge data. Let the phone discharge in normal use to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — repeat this twice and the counter will have enough data to report a stable percentage.
