Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Energy X LTE E0010UU — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-N4000)
This is a 3.8V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the BLU Energy X LTE E0010UU smartphone. It carries OEM part number BL-N4000 and matches the original cell's physical dimensions at 100.40 × 67.20 × 4.60 mm. It replaces a degraded or capacity-faded original cell in this specific handset.
- Energy X LTE E0010UU fit: The E0010UU uses a removable Li-Polymer cell on a 3.8V nominal rail. The BL-N4000 part number matches the connector pinout and BMS handshake expected by this phone's charge IC — no other BLU Energy variant shares this exact footprint and part number.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the E0010UU platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and low-voltage cutoff engaged at the expected floor.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On the first installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before coulomb-counting under high-current fast charge input into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BL-N4000 after installation
The E0010UU's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the replacement cell hits a voltage point the IC associates with a higher state of charge, the phone reads more capacity remaining than actually exists under load. The modem or display then pulls current, voltage drops sharply below the cutoff floor, and the phone shuts off — sometimes at a reported 25%. One complete discharge cycle from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge, forces the IC to recalibrate against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
USB fast charge not activating after swapping the BL-N4000
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs on the E0010UU default to standard 5V/1A input instead of negotiating a higher-power profile. This happens because the BMS on the new cell has not yet completed its initialisation handshake with the phone's charge controller. Plug in using the original cable and charger, leave the phone untouched for a full charge cycle, then disconnect and reconnect. Fast charge negotiation resumes normally from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU Energy X LTE shows the battery percentage jumping around erratically after I swapped in the new BL-N4000 — what's causing it?
The phone's fuel gauge IC is still running the coulomb-counter calibration it built against the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a different discharge curve, so voltage readings map to wrong percentage values until the IC relearns it. Run one complete cycle — charge to full, let the phone discharge until it shuts itself off, then charge back to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the percentage readings settle.
The BLU Energy X LTE won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — is the cell dead?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BL-N4000 dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS trips a deep-discharge lockout to prevent damage. The phone will show nothing when you press power. Connect it to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the lockout threshold, then normal charging resumes. If the charge indicator still does not appear after 45 minutes, the cell voltage dropped too low to recover.
The BLU Energy X LTE feels warm near the back cover during the first charge with the new BL-N4000 — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes voltage into greater resistance during the first few cycles, generating more heat than usual. This is specific to the first one or two charge cycles and not a fault condition. Keep the phone out of a case during that first charge so heat can dissipate from the back cover. If the warmth persists beyond the third full charge cycle, check that the charge IC is not stuck in fast-charge mode with a damaged cable.
