Fits BLU Neo X Plus and N090U models replacing OEM part C936080250P.
This 3.7V 2300mAh cell delivers the capacity your phone needs for full-day standby and moderate use cycles.
Connector seats flush into the original battery slot with standard JST polarity — no adapter required.
We ran discharge cycles on a Neo X Plus test unit; the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes and held voltage stable under modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Neo X Plus / N090U — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C936080250P)

This is a 3.7V, 2300mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original battery in the BLU Neo X Plus (N090U). It matches the OEM part number C936080250P and fits the physical footprint of the Neo X Plus battery bay. Voltage, connector, and BMS communication align to the stock configuration.

  • Neo X Plus and N090U compatibility: Both model designations refer to the same hardware platform. The battery connector, BMS handshake protocol, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail are identical across both. One cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Neo X Plus platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC cycled correctly through constant-current and constant-voltage phases to full termination.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Neo X Plus after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff problem. A new cell has a different internal resistance profile than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was trained on. Under peak load — active LTE modem, screen at full brightness, or a background sync — the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects. The phone interprets this as a critically low charge and cuts power. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and maps the new cell's voltage curve accurately.

Device not powering on after deep discharge in storage

If the Neo X Plus sat unused for an extended period, the cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V per cell — the threshold at which the BMS locks out to prevent damage. A standard charger will not wake a cell in this state. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers to the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU Neo X Plus shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is this a faulty cell?

This is a fuel gauge calibration issue, not a defective cell. The fuel gauge IC in the Neo X Plus was calibrated to the discharge curve of your old, degraded battery. The new cell holds voltage differently under load, so the IC miscalculates remaining capacity and triggers a low-voltage shutdown too early. Run one full uninterrupted discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell's curve and the premature shutoffs will stop.

The battery percentage on my Neo X Plus is jumping around erratically after I installed the replacement — what's causing it?

The fuel gauge IC is still reading the new cell against the old discharge model stored in memory. Until it completes at least one full discharge-charge cycle, the percentage estimate will skip or jump as the IC corrects itself in real time. Do not top up mid-cycle — let the phone drain fully to shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle, the IC locks onto the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve and the readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my Neo X Plus after I put in this replacement battery — the phone is only slow charging now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Neo X Plus defaults to standard constant-current charging until it validates the new cell's impedance profile. Some units stay in this fallback mode until the BMS confirms the cell is within expected parameters. Fully discharge the phone and complete one slow charge to 100%. On the next charge cycle, fast charging should re-engage as the BMS accepts the new cell. If it does not, check that the charger output is at least 5V/2A — the Neo X Plus will not initiate fast charge from a low-output adapter.
