Fits BLU Studio 6.0 HD, D650A, D651U models — replaces OEM part G9005 and C946304300P.
3.7V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers full charge cycles to the Studio 6.0 HD display and modem.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side.
We cycled the pack through full discharge and charge — BMS accepted input current without fault codes or thermal lag.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Studio 6.0 HD / D650A / D651U — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (G9005)

This 3.7V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the BLU Studio 6.0 HD, D650A, D651U, and compatible Studio 6.0 variants. It matches the OEM connector, physical footprint (93.90 × 63.55 × 3.80mm), and BMS handshake. Capacity is rated at 11.1Wh — identical to the factory spec.

  • Studio 6.0 series compatibility: The D650A, D651U, and related Studio 6.0 variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC voltage rail. One cell covers all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Studio 6.0 HD platform. The BMS accepted the full charge curve without cutoff errors, and the fuel gauge IC registered correct state-of-charge readings after one complete cycle.
  • First-cycle calibration on the Studio 6.0 HD: After installation, disable fast charging for the first full discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One full cycle at standard current lets it recalibrate against the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Studio 6.0 HD after cell replacement

The Studio 6.0 HD's modem and 6-inch display draw high instantaneous current. When the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's discharge curve, it misreads remaining charge. The phone shuts down when the cell voltage drops below a safe threshold — even though the reported percentage still looks healthy. One complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100%, forces the coulomb counter to reset against the new cell's actual capacity.

Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the replacement cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS enters a lockout state and the phone will not respond to a normal charger. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC delivers a low-current trickle to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point the phone will power on normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BLU Studio 6.0 HD shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new battery — jumps around and never looks accurate. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the Studio 6.0 HD stores a discharge model calibrated to your old cell. When a new cell goes in, the coulomb counter is reading against the wrong curve, so the percentage is unreliable. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the phone. That single cycle rewrites the fuel gauge baseline to match the new cell's actual capacity.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the replacement battery — is the new cell rejecting the charger?

On the first charge cycle, the charge IC on the Studio 6.0 HD often defaults to standard current while it negotiates with the new cell's BMS. This is normal behaviour — the IC is not yet confident in the cell's impedance profile. Use the phone's original wall adapter, not a third-party or USB-C PD charger, for the first full charge. Fast charge handshake typically resumes from the second cycle onward once the BMS has logged one complete charge event.

The phone feels warm near the back cover while charging with the new battery — is that a problem?

A new high-impedance cell generates slightly more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. On the Studio 6.0 HD, warmth near the battery bay during charging is expected and should reduce noticeably after two or three full cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. If the phone stays warm throughout the entire charge and does not cool down after cycle three, check that you are using a 5V/1A or 5V/2A wall adapter — higher voltages from uncertified chargers push excess current into the cell and sustain the heat.
