Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Studio X Mini — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C685543180L)
This is a 3.7V, 1600mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the BLU Studio X Mini smartphone, covering model numbers S0150UU and S0151UU. It replaces OEM part number C685543180L. Fit this cell when the original no longer holds charge through a normal day of use.
- S0150UU and S0151UU compatibility: Both Studio X Mini variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. Physical dimensions are 68.20 × 55.65 × 4.30mm, matching the OEM footprint exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Studio X Mini platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC cycled through CC/CV stages cleanly with no premature cutoff.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on the Studio X Mini calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve on that first pass — skipping this step causes percentage jumps and early-shutdown warnings for the first few days.
Why the Studio X Mini shuts down suddenly at 20–30% after a cell swap
The Studio X Mini's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve learned from the original cell. A new cell has a different internal resistance profile, so the IC misjudges the remaining voltage under load. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks brightness, current draw spikes and cell voltage dips below the shutdown threshold — even though the displayed percentage still reads 20–30%. One full discharge cycle lets the IC relearn the curve against the new cell and corrects the shutdown point. After recalibration, the phone should reach a true low-voltage cutoff near 3.4–3.5V before powering off.
Battery percentage jumping erratically after replacement
This is the coulomb counter resetting mid-session because it has no accurate state-of-charge baseline for the new cell. The IC accumulated error over months with the degraded original cell, and those figures carry over to the replacement. Charge the phone to 100% without interruption, then discharge it fully to auto-shutdown in one unbroken session. That single cycle forces the IC to reset its full-scale reference and anchor the counter to real cell capacity — erratic jumps typically stop after that cycle completes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The phone won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for a few months — is the new battery dead or is something else going on?
If the replacement cell dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent further discharge damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to lift it above the BMS recovery threshold before the phone will boot. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering normally.
Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement — the phone charges, but slowly, the way it did when the original battery was nearly dead.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Studio X Mini's charge controller defaults to standard rate because it has no trust data for the new BMS. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Run one complete charge to 100% at standard rate, then unplug and restart the phone. On the second charge cycle, the USB negotiation handshake re-establishes and fast charge resumes — if it does not, check that the charger output is at least 5V 2A, as the protocol will not step up on lower-rated adapters.
The phone feels noticeably warm near the back panel while charging the new battery — is that a problem?
A new cell has higher internal impedance than a well-used one, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat during the CC phase of the first few cycles. Warmth near the battery bay is expected and decreases as impedance drops over three to five cycles. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, or charging halts and restarts repeatedly, remove the phone from its case to improve airflow and charge on a hard flat surface. Surface temperature should normalise by the third full charge cycle.
