Fits BLU Vivo smartphones (V0070, V0090, VIVO 5R) and replaces OEM battery part number BL-N3150Z.
Voltage sits at 3.85V with 3150mAh capacity—delivers the same watt-hour output as the factory cell for full daily use.
Connector is a two-pin JST-style plug with a single retention clip; orientation is fixed by the keyed slot on the device side.
We bench-tested this pack on a Vivo V0070 with the fuel gauge IC active; BMS accepted charge current without fault codes or throttling.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Vivo Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-N3150Z)

This is a 3.85V, 3150mAh Li-Polymer battery replacing OEM part BL-N3150Z in BLU Vivo smartphones. It fits the Vivo, V0070, V0090, and Vivo 5R, along with three additional Vivo variants sharing the same connector and BMS handshake. Physical dimensions are 84.40 × 62.30 × 3.40mm — verify clearance inside the chassis before installation.

  • Vivo platform compatibility: The V0070, V0090, and Vivo 5R all share the same 3.85V voltage rail, identical flex connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell revision covers all these variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the BLU Vivo charge IC at 3.85V nominal. The BMS accepted the USB charge handshake on the first cycle and held cutoff at the expected 4.35V upper threshold without trips or false full-charge signals.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated coulomb counter — which is what causes early percentage jumps.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Vivo after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the display peaks brightness, load current spikes and the new cell's voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold momentarily — even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance curve and doesn't yet know where this cell's voltage floor sits under load. Run one full discharge to near 3.0V at the cell terminals, then charge uninterrupted to 4.35V — the IC recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

BLU Vivo percentage jumping erratically after replacement

The coulomb counter inside the fuel gauge IC retains data from the old cell and applies it to the new one immediately after swap — the result is percentage readings that skip or jump by 10–15 points mid-use. This isn't a fault in the cell itself. One complete charge-discharge cycle resets the IC's learned capacity registers to match the actual 3150mAh cell chemistry. After that cycle, percentage readout stabilises and tracks linearly across the discharge curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU Vivo shuts off around 25% battery — is the replacement cell faulty?

Almost certainly not. The fuel gauge IC on the BLU Vivo calibrated its cutoff curve against your old degraded cell, not this one. Under modem or screen load, the new cell's voltage briefly dips below the BMS trip threshold even though the counter still reads 25%. Run the phone down to near shutdown from a full charge without fast charging enabled — one complete cycle resets the IC's reference point and the early shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the new BLU Vivo battery — what's wrong?

The USB-PD or proprietary charge protocol on the BLU Vivo sometimes doesn't negotiate fast charge rates on the very first cycle with a new BMS. The charge IC defaults to standard 5V input until it completes one handshake sequence with the new cell's protection circuit. Charge the phone fully at standard rate, let it discharge to around 15%, then reconnect the fast charger — the protocol negotiation completes on the second cycle in most cases.

The BLU Vivo won't power on at all after the new battery sat in storage for a few months — how do I recover it?

If the cell self-discharged below approximately 2.5V per cell during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage and blocks normal charging. Connect the phone to a low-current charger — a 5V/500mA USB port works better than a fast charger here — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The BMS trickle-charges the cell back above the recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V, and the phone will then boot normally.
