Fits GIONEE S6s and Elife S6s smartphones; replaces OEM part number BL-N3150Z.
Delivers 3.85V and 3150mAh capacity — matches original output for voice, messaging, and app performance without throttling.
Connector orients to the battery slot with positive contact forward; locking tab seats flush against the battery compartment wall.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted charge at 5V input with no early cutoff; fuel gauge IC recognized the cell within two full cycles.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GIONEE S6s / Elife S6s — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-N3150Z)

This is a 3150mAh, 3.85V lithium-polymer cell replacing the original BL-N3150Z in the GIONEE S6s and Elife S6s smartphones. It fits the same physical cavity and connects to the same charge IC. Capacity is rated at 12.13Wh from product data — not an estimate.

  • S6s and Elife S6s compatibility: Both model variants use the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake voltage. The cell measures 84.40 × 62.30 × 3.40mm — physical fit is confirmed against this footprint.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the S6s platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC completed a full constant-current to constant-voltage transition at the correct cutoff.
  • First-cycle calibration on the S6s: After installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on the S6s is calibrated against the old cell's discharge curve — running one slow cycle first lets the coulomb counter reset against the new cell before fast-charge current is applied.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the GIONEE S6s after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve in memory. When the phone reaches roughly 3.5V under modem or screen load, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects — it reads the cliff as empty and shuts down. The fix is a full calibration cycle: drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging. After one complete cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the reported percentage tracks the actual cell state.

Phone warm near the battery area during the first few charges

A new lithium-polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. During the first two or three charges, the charge IC pushes current into a higher-resistance cell, which converts more energy to heat than usual. This is normal and settles after the cell conditions. If warmth continues past the third full charge cycle or the phone becomes hot to the touch, check that the adhesive backing on the cell is fully seated — a lifted cell traps heat against the board. Normal operating temperature during charging should stay below 40°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GIONEE S6s shows 25% battery and then shuts off with no warning — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The S6s fuel gauge IC calibrated its discharge model against your degraded original battery, so it no longer knows where the voltage cliff sits on a fresh cell. The phone hits a real low-voltage point before the percentage display gets there and cuts power to protect the circuit. Run one full uninterrupted cycle — drain to shutdown, charge straight to 100% — and the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell's actual curve.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the replacement BL-N3150Z — the phone just charges slowly now.

On first contact with a new cell, the S6s charge IC sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging while it negotiates with the replacement BMS. This is a handshake timeout, not a hardware fault. Reboot the phone with the new cell installed, then plug into the original charger. If fast charge still does not engage after the reboot, complete one full slow charge cycle first — the IC re-checks the BMS protocol at the start of the next charge session and typically resumes fast-charge negotiation at that point.

The battery percentage on my S6s jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then suddenly 45%, then back to 55%.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a defective cell. The IC uses a stored discharge model and a running coulomb count — when the cell is new, both inputs disagree and the reported state-of-charge oscillates until the model converges. Complete two full discharge-to-shutdown and charge-to-100% cycles without interruption. After the second cycle, the coulomb counter and voltage model align and the percentage display stabilises.
