Fits BlueParrott S450 and S450-XT headsets, replacing OEM battery part number PL363450.
3.7V Li-Polymer cell rated 700mAh supplies continuous power for wireless calling and DECT radio operation without dropout.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot on the S450 frame — no locking tab, push until seated flush.
We ran the cell through charge cycles on the OEM base station; BMS engaged normally and voltage held steady under sustained talk load.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for one complete cycle before taking calls — the base needs to log the new cell before talk-time estimates become accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BlueParrott S450 / S450-XT — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL363450)

This is a 3.7V 700mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the BlueParrott S450 and S450-XT wireless headsets. It uses OEM part number PL363450 and matches the original cell format at 51.00 x 33.80 x 4.00mm. Fit it when the original battery no longer holds charge through a full shift.

  • S450 and S450-XT compatibility: Both headset variants run the same 3.7V power rail, use the same connector, and accept the same BMS handshake — one cell covers both. No hardware difference between the two when it comes to the battery bay.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the S450 platform. The BMS completed its handshake with the base station without error, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • First cycle in the base station: Place the headset in the charging cradle and let it complete a full uninterrupted charge before making any calls. The base station logs the new cell during this cycle — without it, the talk-time indicator will read inaccurately for several sessions.

Why the S450 cuts out mid-call even with a charged battery

The S450 draws current from two systems simultaneously — the audio processor and the Bluetooth radio. During a call, that combined draw spikes briefly above what a degraded or unconditioned cell can sustain. Voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold, and the headset drops. A new cell will handle the combined draw, but if the first full charge cycle wasn't completed in the base station, the BMS may still log a low-capacity state and cut out prematurely. Complete that first full cycle before use.

Base station shows full charge but headset dies after a few minutes

A replacement cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — not at a calibrated full charge. The base station can misread this as a charged pack before the BMS has completed its first proper cycle. The headset then cuts off quickly because the cell hasn't been fully initialised. Seat the headset in the cradle and charge it uninterrupted to 4.2V before the first use — after that cycle, the base station and headset firmware align on the actual cell state.

Frequently Asked Questions

My S450 keeps dropping the call signal for a second or two then reconnects — is this the battery or the Bluetooth radio?

This is almost always voltage sag, not a radio fault. The Bluetooth radio draws a short current spike during transmission, and if the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff at that moment, the headset briefly loses power to the radio. A fresh cell at full charge eliminates this — if the dropout persists after a complete charge cycle on the new battery, check the base station antenna position.

The base station LED shows the headset is charging, but after an hour it shows full and the headset still dies quickly — what's wrong?

The base station is reading the cell voltage, not its actual charge state. A new cell at storage voltage sits close enough to "full" that the cradle stops charging too early. Remove the headset, power it off completely, reseat it in the cradle, and let it charge uninterrupted for a full cycle — the BMS needs that unbroken cycle to log the cell's true capacity before the indicator is meaningful.

Talk time on the new battery seems shorter than it should be for the first few days — is the cell faulty?

It's not faulty — Li-Polymer cells in headsets like the S450 need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. Capacity improves noticeably across those early cycles as the cell chemistry stabilises. Run the headset until the low-battery indicator activates, then charge fully in the base station — repeat this three times and talk time will increase each cycle.
