Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei FreeLace Pro — 3.82V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB411141ECW)

This is a 3.82V, 150mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Huawei FreeLace Pro neckband earbuds, fitting the HUA01 unit. It replaces the original HB411141ECW cell inside one earbud housing. Battery degradation on these earbuds shows up as shortened playback sessions or a unit that stops holding charge entirely.

  • FreeLace Pro and HUA01 fitment: Both model designations use the same HB411141ECW cell with identical voltage rail, physical dimensions, and connector orientation. The 40.00 × 10.60 × 3.80mm footprint fills the housing without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge on the FreeLace Pro platform. The BMS accepted the new pack cleanly, balanced the cell, and reported accurate charge state through the neckband's indicator LEDs.
  • First-cycle charging on the FreeLace Pro: After fitting, charge via the USB-C port on the neckband until the LED turns solid white. The earbud's touch controls and magnetic connection function will not re-initialise correctly until the cell completes that first full charge cycle.

Why the FreeLace Pro cuts out mid-call on a new or aged battery

The FreeLace Pro draws from a single 150mAh cell that simultaneously powers the audio driver, Bluetooth radio, and microphone circuit. Under a voice call, combined draw spikes above idle audio load. If the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V under load — the unit shuts off to protect the cell, even if the charge indicator showed partial capacity. A fresh cell handles this load without sag once it has completed two to three full charge cycles.

Earbud shows solid charge light but cuts off after a few seconds of use

A replacement cell shipped at storage voltage — usually 3.6V to 3.7V — can report a false full-charge state to the neckband's indicator circuit before the BMS has properly logged the cell's usable range. The unit then hits the low-voltage cutoff almost immediately under audio load. The fix is a single full charge from flat: drain the earbud completely, then charge uninterrupted until the LED goes solid white. After that cycle, the charge readout stabilises at 3.82V and the BMS tracks the cell accurately.

Frequently Asked Questions

My FreeLace Pro earbud cuts out in the middle of calls but works fine for music — why?

Voice calls draw more current than music playback because the microphone circuit activates alongside the Bluetooth radio. On a degraded or recently replaced cell, that combined spike drops voltage below the BMS cutoff and the unit shuts off. This doesn't happen during music because the microphone stays off. Run two to three full charge-discharge cycles on the new cell and the sag during calls drops significantly.

Talk time on the replacement cell is noticeably shorter than the original for the first few days — is the cell faulty?

It isn't faulty. Li-Polymer cells at this capacity need three to five full cycles before they reach rated capacity. The BMS also needs those cycles to calibrate its charge-state tracking against the actual cell behaviour. Drain the earbud to cutoff, then charge to solid white each time. By cycle four, measured capacity should be close to the 150mAh rating.

The neckband gets warm near the USB-C port during charging after fitting the new cell — is that normal?

Some warmth at the neckband housing during charging is normal for this form factor. The 3.82V cell and charging circuit sit inside a compact enclosure with limited heat dissipation. What is not normal is heat that stays after charging ends or that makes the housing uncomfortable to touch. If warmth persists more than five minutes after the LED confirms full charge, disconnect and check that the replacement cell dimensions — 40.00 × 10.60 × 3.80mm — match the original exactly, as a mis-sized cell can stress the flex connector and generate excess resistance.
