Brondi Gladiator / Gladiator 1 — 3.7V Li-ion 2000mAh Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Brondi Gladiator and Gladiator 1 smartphones. It restores power to devices where the factory cell has degraded and can no longer hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 70.00 × 63.85 × 4.50mm — verify against your original cell before fitting.

• Gladiator / Gladiator 1 fitment: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and connector pinout. One cell covers both models without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted charge normally, enforced the 4.2V cutoff at top-of-charge, and tripped the low-voltage cutoff cleanly before cell damage could occur.
• Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging runs into an uncalibrated state.

Why the Gladiator reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Gladiator's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour. The gauge reads percentage against old data, so reported charge and true charge diverge — often by 15–25%. One full discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a full uninterrupted charge, forces the coulomb counter to relearn the curve against the replacement cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or screen pulls a current spike the cell cannot sustain at that state of charge, causing cell voltage to sag below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. The phone interprets the voltage drop as a fault and cuts power. It is a calibration gap, not a defective cell. Run one full discharge cycle without fast charging, let the fuel gauge relearn the discharge curve, and the cutoff point will shift down toward the actual low-voltage floor near 3.2–3.4V.
