Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cardioline ECG AR2100 View — 12V 2000mAh Ni-MH Replacement Battery (110699)
This is a 12V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Cardioline ECG AR2100 View portable electrocardiograph. It also fits the ECG 200S and Cardiette ECG Recorder AR1200 View. All three devices share the same 12V power rail and connector specification as the OEM part 110699.
- AR2100 View, ECG 200S, and AR1200 View compatibility: These models run the same 12V Ni-MH power architecture and BMS handshake protocol. The connector pinout and cell count match across all three, so one replacement covers the full platform without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the AR2100 View platform. The onboard BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, completed its initialisation sequence, and held voltage within spec across a full diagnostic recording session.
- Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The AR2100 View BMS runs a verification routine at startup — cutting power during this sequence triggers a persistent battery fault that will not clear until the next clean reboot.
Why the AR2100 View flags a battery error after a confirmed full charge
The AR2100 View BMS applies charge acceptance thresholds calibrated to the OEM cell's chemical profile. A new replacement cell has not yet completed its formation cycles, so internal resistance reads slightly outside the expected window on first charge. The BMS interprets this as a fault rather than a new-cell condition. One full charge-discharge cycle resets the learned baseline and clears the error on subsequent boots.
Device will not power on after the battery was stored installed
Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per day at room temperature. If the AR2100 View sat unused for several weeks with the battery installed, the cell voltage can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 9.6V for a 12V Ni-MH pack. At that point the BMS locks out the discharge path entirely and the device shows no response. Connect the charger and hold for a full uninterrupted charge cycle; once cell voltage climbs above the recovery threshold the BMS re-enables and the device boots normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
The AR2100 View is showing a low battery alarm immediately after the replacement cell finished charging — why?
The BMS on the AR2100 View checks charge acceptance rate and internal resistance at startup, not just resting voltage. A brand-new Ni-MH cell hasn't completed its formation cycles, so resistance reads high and the BMS flags it as a weak cell even though charge went in. Run one full charge-discharge cycle without interruption and the BMS recalibrates its baseline. The alarm clears on the next boot after that cycle completes.
The device shuts off mid-recording during the first few uses after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
Not necessarily. The AR2100 View draws a sharp load spike when the ECG acquisition circuit activates, and a new Ni-MH cell has higher internal resistance in its first 5–10 cycles. That resistance causes a momentary voltage sag under load, and the BMS interprets the sag as a depleted cell and trips the cutoff. The cell is not faulty — resistance drops significantly after conditioning. Complete 5 full charge-discharge cycles before clinical use and confirm resting voltage reads 13.2–13.8V before each session.
The charge indicator on the AR2100 View won't reach 100% on the first two charges — is the charger or battery at fault?
The charge IC in the AR2100 View applies a conservative termination current on cells it hasn't profiled yet. On first and second charge, the IC cuts off early because delta-V detection on a new Ni-MH cell is less pronounced than on a conditioned one. Neither the charger nor the cell is faulty. Let the device charge twice to full termination without removing it mid-cycle and the charge IC will recognise the cell's response curve and reach 100% from the third charge onward.
