Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Casio IT10 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HA-C21BAT)
This is a 3.7V, 2300mAh Li-ion battery replacing the OEM HA-C21BAT pack in the Casio IT10 mobile data terminal. The IT10 is a handheld barcode scanner used in retail, warehouse, and point-of-sale environments. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.
- IT10 platform fit: The IT10 uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and temperature. The HA-C21BAT connector, contact layout, and BMS handshake are matched here — the host device sees the pack as a valid source and begins its charge protocol without error flags.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan trigger and wireless polling draws to confirm BMS cutoff thresholds held within spec. The cell held voltage under combined radio and imager load without dropping into under-voltage lockout during the test sequence.
- First-shift prep for IT10 scanners: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before the first pick-and-pack shift. Scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum charge — starting the shift on a full cell prevents a false BMS cutoff on the first burst of rapid scans.
Cradle showing a charging error after fitting the new pack
IT10 cradles use spring-loaded dock contacts to detect and charge the battery. If contact resistance is too high — from oxidation, debris, or a slightly misseated pack — the cradle reports a charging fault rather than starting the charge cycle. Wipe the gold contacts on the battery and the cradle with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly until it clicks. If the error clears, the issue was contact resistance, not the battery or cradle electronics.
Scanner loses wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
During a fast scan sequence, the IT10 draws power simultaneously from the imager and the wireless radio. On a degraded or deeply discharged cell, this combined inrush pulls terminal voltage below the BMS threshold, triggering a brief power interrupt that drops the wireless link. The scanner may reconnect automatically, but the session data collected during the burst can be lost. Charge the pack fully before the shift and check that the battery contacts are clean — a resistive connection amplifies the voltage sag under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
My IT10 scanner stops reading barcodes right after I swap in the new battery — is the battery dead?
The battery is almost certainly fine. The IT10 imager needs a minimum supply voltage to fire, and a freshly installed cell that hasn't been charged yet may sit too low to sustain the trigger inrush. Place the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before attempting to scan. Once fully charged, the imager should power up and read without issue.
The IT10 is warm after a long picking shift — is that normal with this battery?
Some warmth is expected. The IT10 runs a wireless radio and an imager in a compact housing with limited airflow, so heat builds up under sustained combined draw. The pack itself generates heat during discharge, and that's amplified in high-scan-frequency shifts. If the housing is hot to the touch rather than warm, check that the battery contacts are seated cleanly — a resistive connection forces the cell to work harder and increases heat output. Surface temperature should return to ambient within a few minutes of the scanner going idle.
The new battery doesn't seem to last as long as the original did when it was new — what's reducing it?
Scan burst frequency and wireless polling interval are the two biggest variables. A scanner set to continuous polling burns significantly more power than one using a slower check-in cycle — this is a software setting in the IT10 configuration, not a hardware limit. Also confirm the pack went through at least one full charge cycle in the cradle before use; a first shift on a partial charge compresses the usable capacity range. Check the wireless polling interval in the device settings and adjust it to match the actual demand of the workflow.
