Fits Cecotec Conga 05429 and 2090 Vision cordless vacuums; replaces original 14.4V battery pack.
14.4V and 2500mAh capacity delivers full motor torque on carpet and hard floors without early cutoff.
Connector slides into the battery slot with orientation key; locking tab seats flush against the handle housing.
Bench testing showed stable BMS voltage delivery under sustained motor load; no premature current limiting observed.
Remove the battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge — continuous dock contact causes capacity fade faster than charge-when-depleted cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CECOTEC Conga 2090 Vision / 05429 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2500mAh (36Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the CECOTEC Conga 2090 Vision and 05429 cordless stick vacuum. It fits the original battery slot and works with the same charging circuit. Use it when the original cell has lost capacity or stopped holding charge.

  • Conga 2090 Vision and 05429 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V battery platform with a shared connector and BMS communication line. The replacement cell matches that voltage rail, so the vacuum's power management reads it correctly from first charge.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Conga platform. The BMS accepted the handshake, charge termination triggered at the correct voltage, and the motor draw stayed within the cell's rated current envelope under normal suction load.
  • Dock charging habit for Conga vacuums: Do not leave the Conga on the charging dock permanently after the charge completes. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells in this voltage range. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Conga 2090 Vision

This happens when the motor draws more current than the cell can deliver at its present state of charge. A partially clogged filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling the cell voltage down early. The BMS reads that voltage sag as low charge and begins throttling power before the indicator catches up. Clean the filter first — if suction stabilises after that, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — by a blocked filter, full dust container, or a carpet pile blockage — the motor pulls a sustained spike above the cell's safe current limit. The BMS disconnects the output to protect the cell, then resets once current drops. Clear the blockage, empty the container, and check the filter before assuming the battery is faulty.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Conga 2090 Vision shows a full charge but suction drops off within a few minutes — is the new battery faulty?

That pattern usually points to a blocked filter, not the battery. A restricted airflow path forces the motor to draw above its rated current, which pulls cell voltage down faster than the indicator reflects. Check and clean the foam and HEPA filters before drawing any conclusion about the cell. If suction holds steady after cleaning the filter, the battery is working correctly.

The Conga charges fine but the motor cuts out suddenly during use and then starts again after a short pause — what causes that?

That is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the motor hits a sustained blockage — a carpet fibre jam, a full dust bin, or a clogged filter — it pulls a current spike the BMS won't allow past its limit, so it cuts output to protect the cell. It resets automatically once the load drops. Clear the blockage, empty the bin, clean the filter, and the motor should run without interruption.

I left the Conga on its dock between cleans for a few months and the battery life is noticeably shorter now — did the new cell arrive degraded?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on Conga batteries. Once the cell reaches full charge, the dock continues applying a low trickle current, which stresses Li-ion cells over time and permanently reduces capacity. The replacement cell arrives at a storage charge level, not degraded. From now on, charge to full and unplug or remove the vacuum from the dock — do not leave it docked indefinitely.
