Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ETA 5448 Rotelo — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (5448 00030)
This is a 25.9V, 2200mAh lithium-ion battery for the ETA 5448 Rotelo cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part numbers 5448 00030 and ZL-8260S0722. When the original battery can no longer hold a charge or delivers noticeably weaker suction, this cell restores the vacuum to full operating capacity.
- ETA 5448 Rotelo fit: The Rotelo platform runs a 25.9V motor rail with a specific connector and BMS handshake. This cell matches that voltage requirement and communicates correctly with the vacuum's charge management circuit. Do not substitute a lower-voltage cell — the motor controller will reject it.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the 5448 platform. The BMS tripped correctly under simulated blockage conditions and reset cleanly once load was removed. Capacity measured at specification under standard draw.
- Dock charging discipline: Do not leave the Rotelo sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells in this voltage class. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The Rotelo's motor draws current proportional to the resistance it encounters. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling more amps than the BMS is calibrated to sustain at that state of charge. The BMS reads this as a low-voltage condition and begins throttling power before the indicator LED reflects the actual charge remaining. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was not the cause. If suction remains weak with a clean filter and a fully charged cell, the cell has degraded below the motor's operating threshold.
Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the Rotelo's airpath is restricted — blocked filter, clogged nozzle, or heavy carpet pile — current draw spikes beyond the cell's continuous discharge rating. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, and the vacuum restarts once the BMS resets after a short cooldown. Check and clear the filter and nozzle before assuming the battery is at fault. If trips continue with a fully clear airpath, check that the charger brought the cell to 29.4V — a low resting voltage makes BMS trips more frequent under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ETA Rotelo loses suction halfway through a room but the battery indicator still shows full — is the battery failing?
Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than the BMS expects at that charge level, causing the BMS to throttle power before the indicator drops. Clean the filter and nozzle completely, then retest. If suction stays strong through a full clean with a clear filter, the battery is fine — the restriction was the cause.
The vacuum cuts out after a minute on thick carpet, pauses, then restarts on its own — what's happening?
That is a BMS overcurrent trip triggered by the extra motor load on dense carpet, especially if the filter is even slightly restricted. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. Clear the filter and nozzle fully before the next use. If trips continue on normal carpet with a clean airpath, charge the battery to full — a partially charged cell has a lower overcurrent threshold and trips earlier.
I charged the replacement battery overnight but the Rotelo still feels weaker than it used to — did the battery lose capacity already?
Overnight charging on the dock can cause this. Li-ion cells at 25.9V held on continuous trickle charge degrade faster than cells that are charged and removed. Check that your charger brought the cell to a resting voltage near 29.4V using a multimeter — if it reads significantly lower, the charger may not have completed a full cycle. Going forward, remove the vacuum from the dock as soon as charging completes.
