Fits Cecotec Conga 7490 Ultimate Genesis, Conga 7490 Ultimate, and Conga 7490 Immortal Genesis; replaces OEM part number 94120.
This 14.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 37.44Wh to sustain motor torque on carpet and hard floors without voltage sag.
Connector seats flush into the battery dock with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested this pack on a Conga 7490 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the charger handshake with no fault codes on first contact.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge — trickle current degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cecotec Conga 7490 Ultimate Genesis — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (94120)

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Cecotec Conga 7490 Ultimate Genesis, Conga 7490 Ultimate, and Conga 7490 Immortal Genesis robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part number 94120 and restores cleaning performance when the original cell has degraded. Voltage and capacity match the original battery specification exactly.

  • Conga 7490 series compatibility: The Ultimate Genesis, Ultimate, and Immortal Genesis variants share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell covers all three models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on the Conga 7490 platform. The BMS accepted the charger handshake without fault codes, and cell voltage held stable under sustained motor load across hard floor and medium-pile carpet passes.
  • Dock charging habit on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the Conga 7490 sitting on the charging dock permanently between sessions. Continuous trickle charge through the dock degrades cell capacity faster than charging only when the battery is depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock if the unit will sit idle for more than a day.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Conga 7490

The Conga 7490 motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or when transitioning from hard floor to carpet. Under that increased load, a degraded cell cannot hold the voltage rail steady, and suction drops even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. This is voltage sag, not a capacity problem — the cell cannot deliver the peak current the motor demands. Clean the filter before fitting the replacement battery, then run a full charge cycle. After a full charge, cell voltage at rest should read 16.4V across the terminals.

Conga 7490 motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery fault. When the brush roll or suction path is restricted — blocked filter, tangled hair on the brush, or a stuck side brush — the motor pulls above the BMS current threshold and the BMS shuts the cell off to protect it. The unit recovers once current demand drops. Clear the restriction first: remove and clean the filter, check the brush roll for tangles, and confirm the dust bin is not full. If the cutout continues on a clear robot with no blockage, the original cell's BMS is the likely cause — the replacement cell's BMS is rated for the motor's normal surge current.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Conga 7490 stops cleaning halfway through a room even though the battery light isn't flashing low — what's happening?

This is voltage sag under motor load. When the filter is restricted or the brush roll is partially jammed, the motor draws more current than the cell can sustain, and voltage collapses before the indicator registers low charge. Clean the filter and brush roll first, then recharge fully. If the problem clears, the restriction was the cause — not the cell capacity.

The Conga 7490 kept returning to dock and recharging every session, and now the new battery seems to fade faster than expected — did we get a bad cell?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade on the Conga 7490 series. The dock trickle-charges the cell even when it is already full, and repeated trickle charge cycles degrade lithium-ion cells faster than normal charge-discharge cycles. With the replacement battery, charge to full and lift the unit off the dock rather than leaving it seated between sessions. Capacity should stabilise after several proper charge-discharge cycles.

The Conga 7490 won't charge at all after fitting the replacement battery — the dock light just flashes and nothing happens.

The Conga 7490 charger expects a BMS handshake before it begins charging. If the dock light flashes without initiating a charge, the cell voltage may have dropped low enough that the BMS has entered deep-discharge lockout. Place the robot on the dock for 15–20 minutes without moving it — some BMS units require a trickle pre-charge period before accepting a full charge cycle. If the dock still shows no progress, check that the charging contacts on both the dock and the robot base are clean and making firm contact; oxidised contacts interrupt the handshake signal.
