Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Kyvol Cybovac E20 / E30 / E31 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR-32E-4S1P)
This is a 14.4V Li-ion replacement battery for the Kyvol Cybovac E20, E30, and E31 robotic vacuum cleaners. It uses OEM part number INR-32E-4S1P and delivers 2600mAh (37.44Wh). When the original pack degrades after repeated charge cycles, this swap restores the vacuum's motor and navigation systems to full operating capacity.
- E20 / E30 / E31 compatibility: All three models share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The cell configuration — four INR cells in series, one in parallel — matches the voltage rail each model's motor controller expects on startup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the E20 platform. The BMS responded correctly to the charger handshake, held voltage within spec under motor load, and triggered protection cutoff cleanly at the low-cell threshold.
- Dock charging habit on the E20 series: Do not leave the Cybovac sitting on the dock continuously between cleans. These models do not cut dock power once full, and sustained trickle input accelerates cell degradation. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next clean cycle.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the E20 and E30, suction loss well before the low-battery alert usually means the motor is drawing more current than the cell can deliver at that state of charge — a voltage sag under load, not a capacity failure. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling current that pushes the BMS toward its overcurrent threshold. The pack then reduces output to protect the cells, and suction drops as a result. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — if suction holds across a full cycle, the filter was the cause, not the battery.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a fault with the battery cells themselves. When the vacuum encounters a blockage or runs on thick carpet with a restricted filter, the motor current spikes above the BMS protection threshold and the pack interrupts output briefly. The BMS resets automatically once current normalises, which is why the motor recovers within seconds. Clear any blockage at the brush roll and inlet, check the filter, and confirm the behaviour stops — if it continues on a clean machine, measure resting pack voltage, which should read above 16.0V when fully charged.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Kyvol Cybovac E30 runs for noticeably less time than it used to even with a new battery — what causes that?
A partially blocked filter is the most common cause on the E30 series. When airflow is restricted, the motor draws more current than rated to maintain suction, and the BMS throttles output sooner to protect the cells — so the pack appears depleted before it actually is. Clean the filter thoroughly and check the brush roll for hair wrap before assuming the new cell is at fault. If runtime improves after clearing the filter, the battery was not the issue.
The Cybovac E20 stopped charging on the dock after sitting unused for several weeks — is the battery recoverable?
Extended storage at a low state of charge can drop cell voltage below the BMS's recovery threshold, causing the charger handshake to fail and the dock LED to show no activity. Remove the battery, let it warm to room temperature if it was stored somewhere cold, then reconnect to the dock for at least 30 minutes before assuming failure. If the BMS re-initialises, the charge LED will change state. If voltage across the pack terminals reads below 10V on a meter, the cells have likely over-discharged past recovery.
My E31 suction drops off steadily across each clean even though the battery indicator still shows three bars — is this normal cell behaviour?
This is voltage sag under sustained motor load, and it is distinct from a low-charge warning. As the pack discharges, internal resistance rises and the motor voltage rail drops slightly, reducing suction output even while the indicator logic — which reads average cell voltage, not instantaneous load voltage — still shows a healthy charge level. It becomes more pronounced when the filter is even partially blocked, so check filter condition first. If the vacuum was previously performing longer at full suction before this started, the original cells have developed capacity fade — this replacement pack restores the initial discharge curve.
