Fits Cisco IP DECT 6800, 6825 handsets; replaces OEM battery RTR001F05.
3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-ion cell delivers rated capacity across talk and standby modes.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with positive terminal facing outward; no locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell on a Cisco base station charger — BMS accepted within seconds, voltage stable at 4.2V peak charge.
After installing, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — lithium cells in DECT phones need slower initial charge to establish BMS calibration.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cisco IP DECT 6800 / 6825 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (RTR001F05)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Cisco IP DECT 6800 and IP DECT 6825 wireless handsets, including the CP6825-3PC-K9. It uses OEM part number RTR001F05 and fits the same battery bay without modification. Capacity is rated at 4.44Wh.

  • IP DECT 6800 and 6825 compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The RTR001F05 slot fits all three model variants without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery on the IP DECT 6825 handset. The BMS accepted charge from the base station immediately, with no error state triggered during the initial charge cycle. Cell voltage at full charge measured 4.19V.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base cradle and leave it undisturbed for a full charge cycle before putting it back into rotation. Li-ion cells shipped in partial-charge storage states perform inconsistently until the BMS completes one full charge-to-cutoff cycle.

Talk time shorter than expected after battery swap

Li-ion cells arrive from storage at around 40–60% charge, and the BMS calibration data from the old cell does not transfer to the new one. The handset's charge indicator may show full before the cell has actually completed a proper charge cycle. Run two or three full charge-discharge cycles through normal use and the reported capacity will align with the 1200mAh rating. If talk time is still short after three cycles, check that the handset is fully seated in the base — a partial contact on the charging pins reduces charge current significantly.

Handset not pairing with base after battery replacement

Removing the battery from a DECT handset cuts power completely, and some Cisco IP DECT 6800 series units lose their base station pairing when the RAM clears. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Re-pair the handset using the standard DECT registration procedure: hold the handset near the base, press the registration button on the base for three seconds, then follow the on-screen prompt on the handset. The handset should show the base extension within 60 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Cisco IP DECT 6825 handset shows a full charge but cuts out mid-call — what's happening?

The handset's charge gauge is reading stale calibration data left over from the old cell. The new battery needs two to three full charge-discharge cycles before the BMS accurately maps remaining capacity to the display. Until then, the gauge can report full at 80% actual charge and then drop sharply under the RF transmit load of an active call. Run the handset through normal use for a few days and the cutouts will stop — if they don't, check resting cell voltage at the battery contacts, which should read above 3.6V when the handset reports a full charge.

The base station shows a charging error light after I installed the new battery — is something wrong?

A battery shipped in low-charge storage state can sit below the base station's acceptance threshold voltage, causing the base to flag an error rather than begin charging. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly in the cradle. If the error persists, the base station needs to see at least 3.0V at the battery terminals to initiate the charge cycle — confirm the battery is making clean contact with the cradle pins and try again.

The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — what causes that?

This is almost always a seating issue. The IP DECT 6825 base cradle has spring-loaded charge contacts that require the handset to click fully into place — a partial seat passes no charge current, and the handset runs on battery the entire time it sits there. Check that the handset clicks down with light pressure and that no debris is blocking the cradle contacts. With a correctly seated handset, resting standby draw on the 3.7V cell is low enough that overnight drain should not occur.
