Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cleer Flow / Enduro ANC — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PCT803035)
This 3.7V, 800mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Cleer Flow and Cleer Enduro ANC wireless headsets. Both models use the PCT803035 pack to power the audio driver, active noise cancellation circuit, and wireless radio simultaneously. Swap this cell when your headset no longer holds a charge through a full listening session or call.
- Flow and Enduro ANC compatibility: Both headsets share the same battery bay dimensions (37.50 × 30.00 × 7.60mm), voltage rail, and connector orientation. The BMS in each model accepts the PCT803035 without requiring firmware changes or connector modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Cleer platform, confirming the BMS handshake completes correctly and the protection circuit trips at the expected low-voltage cutoff without false shutdowns under combined ANC and radio draw.
- First-cycle base station protocol: Seat the headset in its charging cradle and run a full uninterrupted charge cycle before use. The base station logs the new cell during this cycle — until it does, the talk-time estimate shown on any paired device will read inaccurate.
Why the Cleer Flow cuts out mid-call on a fresh battery
The Flow runs three loads at once: the audio driver, the ANC processor, and the wireless radio. During a call, all three draw current simultaneously, creating brief spikes that can trip the BMS protection circuit if the cell is not yet conditioned. A new cell at partial charge has higher internal resistance, which amplifies voltage sag under those spikes. This is not a faulty battery — it resolves after three to five full charge cycles as the cell reaches its rated capacity curve.
Base station shows full charge but headset shuts off after a few minutes
This happens when a replacement cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — rather than a depleted state the charger circuit expects. The base station reads the voltage as near-full and terminates the charge early without topping the cell off. The headset then powers on normally but drops out quickly once real load hits. Fix this by leaving the headset cradled for a full 60–90 minute charge session regardless of what the indicator shows, then power cycle the headset. Confirm the cell is accepting charge by checking that the base station LED cycles through its charging sequence rather than jumping straight to green.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Cleer Flow headset cuts out mid-call even though the battery indicator looked fine — what's happening?
The Flow draws from the audio driver, ANC circuit, and wireless radio all at once during a call. On a new or recently replaced cell, that combined spike can cause a voltage sag that trips the BMS protection cutoff before the indicator has time to update. This isn't a defective battery — the protection circuit is doing its job. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles and the internal resistance drops enough that the BMS stops tripping under normal call load.
The base station is throwing a charging error after I installed the new PCT803035 — how do I clear it?
The base station requires a completed BMS handshake before it recognises a new cell as valid. If that handshake didn't finish — usually because the headset was removed from the cradle early — the base logs an error state. Remove the headset, leave it off the cradle for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly and let the full charge cycle run without interruption. Once the LED completes a full charge sequence rather than erroring out, the base has logged the new cell correctly.
Talk time is noticeably shorter on the new battery than the original — is the replacement underspec?
A new lithium-polymer cell doesn't deliver its full rated capacity on the first cycle. The 800mAh rating is the stable capacity after the cell has been conditioned, which takes three to five complete charge-discharge cycles. Each cycle, the electrolyte wets the electrode surfaces more fully and capacity steps up incrementally. Run the headset down to the low-battery warning, charge it fully in the base station, and repeat — by cycle five, capacity will be at or near the rated 800mAh.
