Fits SteelSeries Arctis PDP LVL50 and Arctis 9X wireless headsets, replaces OEM part FT603048P.
3.7V, 850mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the charge capacity needed for full wireless audio and DECT connectivity cycles.
Connector slides into the battery bay with the contact pins forward, secured by the spring-loaded retention tab.
We bench-tested the FT603048P against the original OEM pack — BMS initialized cleanly on first charge cycle with no fault codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a complete cycle before taking a call; DECT bases need the new cell to complete a handshake before talk-time estimates register correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SteelSeries Arctis 9X / PDP LVL50 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (FT603048P)

This is a 3.7V, 850mAh Li-Polymer cell (FT603048P) for the SteelSeries Arctis PDP LVL50 and Arctis 9X wireless headsets. It replaces the original pack when the headset no longer holds a charge or cuts out during use. Dimensions are 50.80 × 30.00 × 6.00mm — the same footprint as the factory cell.

  • Arctis 9X and PDP LVL50 compatibility: Both models run the same 3.7V single-cell architecture with an identical connector and BMS handshake profile. One cell covers both headsets without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Arctis platform. The BMS accepted the pack cleanly — no protection trip, no charge refusal, and the base station reported charging state correctly after the first full cycle.
  • First charge on a new cell: Seat the headset in the base station and let it complete a full, uninterrupted charge cycle before using it. The base station logs the new cell during this cycle — skipping it causes the talk-time estimate to read inaccurately for several sessions.

Voltage sag under combined audio and wireless radio draw

The Arctis 9X and LVL50 run audio processing and the wireless radio simultaneously from a single 3.7V cell. Under that combined load, a weakened or deeply discharged cell can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the indicator still shows charge remaining. A fresh cell at full charge holds voltage more steadily under this dual draw. If cutouts happen early in a session, check that the first full charge cycle completed before the headset was used.

Base station shows full but headset cuts off after a short time

This happens when a new cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — and the base station misreads it as already charged. The headset then runs off a cell that was never fully topped up. The fix is straightforward: place the headset on the base and leave it until the charge indicator completes a full cycle from flat. After one full charge from a low state, the base station recalibrates and the behaviour stops.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Arctis headset cuts out mid-call but the battery indicator still showed charge — what's happening?

The wireless radio and audio processor pull current at the same time, which causes voltage to dip sharply under combined load. A cell that's been through many cycles can no longer hold voltage steady under that draw, so the BMS trips and cuts power even though the indicator hadn't reached zero. Replacing the cell resolves the sag — after fitting the FT603048P, run a full charge cycle before the first call so the cell starts at its actual peak voltage of around 4.2V.

Talk time on the new battery seems shorter than it should be for the first few uses — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Li-Polymer cells don't deliver full capacity from the first cycle — they condition over three to five charge and discharge cycles as the electrolyte fully wets the electrode surfaces. Each full cycle adds usable capacity until the cell stabilises at its rated 850mAh. Run the headset until the base station requests a charge, then charge it fully, and repeat — talk time will increase noticeably by the third or fourth cycle.

The headset feels noticeably warm after a long call — is the new cell overheating?

Warmth during extended calls is normal on these headsets. The housing is compact, and the combined heat from the wireless radio, audio processing, and charging current has limited space to dissipate. The cell's BMS will cut power if temperature exceeds safe limits — that is a protective function, not a fault. If the headset is getting hot enough to be uncomfortable, take it off the head and let it cool for a few minutes; sustained heat above 45°C shortens cell life over time.
