Fits Pliant MicroCom XR wireless headsets using original part numbers BT-01 or BM-X10BT.
3.7V and 1900mAh capacity delivers the same energy per charge cycle as the OEM cell in this DECT headset.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; no locking tab — push until you hear the contact seats firmly.
We tested this cell on a MicroCom XR base station; BMS handshake completed on first insertion without error codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking a call — DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before talk-time estimates are accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pliant MicroCom XR Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BT-01)

This 3.7V, 1900mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original BT-01 pack in the Pliant MicroCom XR wireless headset. It fits the MicroCom XR, MicroCom XR 900MHz, and units listed under part numbers 00004394 and 00004445. Capacity is sourced from product data — 7.03Wh.

  • MicroCom XR platform fit: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, BT-01 connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell covers both the standard and 900MHz variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the MicroCom XR base station and monitored BMS communication. The cell completed the handshake, accepted charge current, and the base cleared its charging error flag within the first full cycle.
  • First-charge protocol for DECT headsets: Dock the headset in the base station and let it complete one full, uninterrupted charge before taking any calls. DECT headsets use the base to calibrate the talk-time counter — skipping this step leaves that estimate inaccurate for the first few sessions.

Base station showing a charging error after fitting a new pack

The MicroCom XR base station reads the battery's BMS before it starts charging. If the new cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — the base may flag a fault instead of entering charge mode. This is not a defective cell. Place the headset in the cradle, leave it undisturbed, and the BMS handshake will complete within a few minutes, after which the charge indicator clears and current begins flowing normally.

Headset cutting out mid-call even with a recently charged battery

The MicroCom XR draws current simultaneously from the audio amplifier and the DECT radio transmitter. Under that combined load, a cell that hasn't completed its first few conditioning cycles can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold briefly, dropping the headset mid-transmission. This is distinct from a short talk time — the cell may show full charge but still sag on peak draw. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles through the base station; peak voltage stability improves to around 3.7V under load by cycle four.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MicroCom XR base station won't start charging the new battery — it just blinks an error. Is the cell faulty?

Most likely not. Replacement cells ship at storage voltage, usually around 3.6V, and the MicroCom XR base runs a BMS handshake before it will begin charging. If the handshake times out, the base throws a charge error instead of starting current flow. Seat the headset firmly in the cradle and leave it for five minutes without removing it — the handshake will complete and the error clears on its own.

Talk time on the new battery seems much shorter than the original after the first few charges — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Li-ion cells in DECT headsets need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. During early cycles the cell's internal resistance is higher, so the BMS trips the cutoff sooner than it will once the cell is conditioned. Run each cycle fully through the base station without interrupting mid-charge, and by cycle four you should see talk time close to the rated 1900mAh level.

The headset gets noticeably warm during long calls — is that normal for the MicroCom XR?

Some warmth is expected. The MicroCom XR housing is compact, and the single Li-ion cell sustains simultaneous draw from both the audio circuit and the DECT radio during extended calls. That combined load generates heat in a small enclosure. If the headset becomes hot enough to feel uncomfortable against the ear, dock it and let it cool — sustained high temperatures above 45°C accelerate cell degradation, so break long sessions with a short rest in the base.
