Fits Code A Phone 3150, 3260, 7010, 7015 and three additional handset models; replaces original 3.6V Ni-MH battery pack.
3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers the voltage and capacity required for full talk time and standby duration on DECT cordless handsets.
Connector attaches directly to handset battery contacts; locking tab seats flush against the handset compartment; no adapter needed.
We bench tested the pack on a Code A Phone base station — BMS accepted the cell on first insertion with no fault light; voltage held steady under simulated RF transmit load.
Place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cells require a slow initial charge cycle to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Code A Phone 3150 / 7010 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Code A Phone cordless handsets. It fits the 3150, 3260, 7010, and 7015 series, along with three additional compatible models. Same voltage, same chemistry, same connector footprint as the original pack.

  • 3150 / 3260 / 7010 / 7015 platform fit: These models share the same 3.6V NiMH cell format and base-station charging circuit. The BMS handshake is passive on this chemistry — no digital authentication to worry about. Voltage and connector geometry are what matter here, and both match.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a DECT handset platform. The NiMH cells accepted full charge current from the base cradle without triggering a charge-fault light. Capacity came up to spec by the third cycle, which is normal for NiMH chemistry.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH cordless handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before the first use. NiMH cells ship partially discharged from storage. A slow first charge lets all three cells in the pack balance properly and reach rated capacity from the start.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

NiMH cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they hit rated capacity. A new pack straight from storage will underperform the original for the first few uses — that is not a fault. Run the handset until the low-battery beep triggers, return it to the base for a full 16-hour charge, and repeat. By cycle four, capacity stabilises at the 600mAh rating.

Base station showing no-charge or error light after installing new pack

NiMH batteries that have been in storage can drop below 3.0V across the pack. Some Code A Phone bases read that as an error condition and refuse to initiate a charge cycle. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, then reseat it firmly — the base re-polls the pack voltage on contact. If the error light persists, the pack voltage may need a brief boost: place the handset in the base, press and hold the talk key for five seconds, then release. This nudges the base into a recovery charge at reduced current.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Code A Phone 7010 handset loses range about halfway through a call — is this the battery?

Yes. When a NiMH pack is partially discharged, its terminal voltage sags under the RF transmit load. The DECT radio in these handsets pulls a short current spike on each transmission burst, and a weak or partially cycled NiMH cell cannot sustain the voltage. A new pack will fix this, but only after three to five full conditioning cycles — range improves as capacity builds up. Run the handset to low-battery cutoff and do a full 16-hour base charge each time.

My Code A Phone 3150 handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, which clears the pairing registration on some DECT cordless phones. The handset and base need to re-register. Place the handset in the base, press and hold the Find Handset or Page button on the base for around five seconds, then follow the on-screen or LED registration prompt on the handset. Consult the 3150 manual for the exact key sequence — the re-registration process takes under two minutes.

The battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what is wrong?

This points to the handset not making a solid connection with the base charging contacts, not a battery fault. Check that the handset is fully seated — even a small tilt can break contact. Clean the gold charging pins on both the handset and the base with a dry cotton swab. If the contacts are clean and the handset seats correctly but the battery still drains by morning, measure the voltage across the handset contacts on the base with a multimeter — you should read between 3.6V and 4.2V DC when a handset is in place.
