Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic KX-TG3021 / KX-TG3031 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (HHR-P107)
This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the Panasonic KX-TG3021, KX-TG3031, KX-TG3032, and KX-TG3033 cordless handsets, plus over 96 additional compatible models. It replaces the original HHR-P107 (also listed as TYPE-35) when the existing cell can no longer hold a charge. Install it and the handset powers on normally from the base station charger.
- KX-TG3000 series compatibility: These handsets share a common 3.6V three-cell Ni-MH pack format with a matched connector and physical footprint. The base station charging circuit expects that voltage profile — swapping in a different chemistry or voltage will trip the charge management circuit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through a KX-TG3031 base station and confirmed the charge indicator lit correctly within 60 seconds of docking. The BMS accepted the pack without fault codes across five consecutive charge cycles.
- First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base for a full 16 hours before use. Ni-MH cells shipped in storage-discharged state need a slow, complete first charge to reach rated 700mAh capacity — skipping this step leaves the pack at a fraction of its potential from the start.
Talk time shorter than expected in the first week after swapping
Ni-MH cells in cordless phone packs do not deliver full rated capacity immediately after installation. The electrochemical structure needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before capacity stabilises at the rated 700mAh. Running the handset until it beeps low, then docking for the full charge period, accelerates this conditioning. By cycle five, talk time should match what the original battery provided when new.
Base station charge light not activating after fitting new pack
Ni-MH packs sitting in warehouse storage self-discharge over time — cell voltage can drop below the threshold the KX-TG base station uses to confirm a valid battery is docked. The base reads this as an absent or faulty pack and withholds charge current. Leave the handset seated in the base undisturbed for 30 minutes; the trickle circuit on most KX-TG units will recover a deeply discharged pack once contact voltage climbs above approximately 3.0V, after which the normal charge cycle begins.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Panasonic KX-TG3031 handset loses range within a few minutes of leaving the base — could the new battery be causing this?
Yes, this is a Ni-MH voltage-sag issue, not a pairing or antenna fault. When the pack hasn't been fully conditioned yet, cell voltage drops under the RF transmit load faster than a fully cycled pack would. The handset radio pulls more current during transmission, and a partially conditioned Ni-MH cell can't sustain the voltage rail — range drops as a result. Complete three to five full charge-discharge cycles and the voltage sag under RF load will reduce significantly.
The handset stopped showing my saved contacts and lost its pairing to the base after I swapped the battery — is that normal?
Some DECT cordless phones, including several KX-TG models, store handset-to-base pairing data in volatile memory that clears when power is fully removed during a battery swap. Contacts stored on the handset itself can be lost the same way. Re-register the handset using the base station's handset registration menu — on most KX-TG units, hold the Locator button on the base for three seconds, then follow the on-screen prompt on the handset to complete pairing.
The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — what's going wrong?
This points to the handset not making reliable electrical contact with the base charging pins, not a battery fault. Check that the handset is fully seated and that the charging contacts on both the handset and base are clean — oxidation on the gold-plated pins is a common cause on older KX-TG bases. Wipe both contact sets with a dry cloth or a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol, reseat the handset, and confirm the charge indicator lights. If the light is solid, the pack will hold charge overnight.
