This 11.1V 2600mAh Li-ion battery fits the COMEN C11, CM300, M200, and M200a patient monitors. These are portable vital signs monitors used in hospitals, clinics, and ambulance transport. It replaces OEM part numbers 022-000113-00 and CMLI1X2N001A.

  • C11 / CM300 / M200 platform fit: These monitors share the same battery bay dimensions, 11.1V nominal voltage rail, and BMS communication protocol. One cell pack covers the full platform without modification.

Why the C11 alarms low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge

The C11's BMS stores a learned capacity model from the previous cell. When a new cell is installed, the firmware compares measured internal resistance against the stored OEM profile. A fresh Li-ion cell has a slightly different impedance signature than a used OEM pack, which can trigger the low-battery threshold before the first full cycle is complete. Running one complete charge-to-discharge-to-charge cycle allows the BMS to update its capacity reference. After that single cycle, the alarm behaviour resolves and the indicator reads accurately.

Monitor will not power on after battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 9V — the C11's BMS recovery threshold — the monitor will not power on and may show no response at all. Connect the monitor to mains power first and leave it charging for at least 30 minutes before attempting to boot from battery alone. This allows the charge IC to pre-charge the cell back above the BMS enable threshold. Once the cell reaches roughly 10.5V, normal startup resumes.

The cell is not faulty. The C11 BMS retains a learned impedance profile from the old pack, and a new cell's internal resistance reads differently until the firmware recalibrates. Run one complete charge-to-full, use the monitor until the low battery alarm triggers naturally, then recharge to full. After that single cycle, the BMS updates its reference and the alarm clears.

The monitor won't turn on at all after the replacement battery was stored for a few months before fitting it — what's happening?

Self-discharge during storage has likely pulled the cell below the C11's BMS recovery threshold, around 9V. The BMS will not enable power output below this floor, so the device shows no response. Plug the monitor into mains AC power and leave it on charge for 30 minutes without pressing the power button — this lets the charge IC recover the cell above threshold. Once the cell reaches roughly 10.5V, the monitor will boot normally from battery.

The C11 shuts off unexpectedly during patient monitoring even though the battery indicator showed adequate charge — what causes this?

In the first 10 charge cycles, a new Li-ion cell handles the C11's monitoring load profile — particularly the SpO2 and NIBP pump draw — with slightly less voltage stability than a conditioned pack. Momentary voltage sag under peak load can trip the BMS undervoltage cutoff even when the state-of-charge indicator reads above 30%. This behaviour reduces significantly after 5–10 full cycles as the cell's internal resistance stabilises. Complete the BMS learn cycle before relying on this battery in unsupervised clinical use.
