This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Coolpad 9100, N916, 8150, and N930 smartphones. It uses OEM part number CPLD-60H and fits the same physical bay and connector as the original cell. Capacity is 4.07Wh — identical to the factory specification.

• 9100 / N916 / 8150 / N930 platform fit: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all four devices without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 9100 platform. The BMS accepted charge on the first connection, held the cutoff voltage at 4.2V, and discharged cleanly to the low-voltage protection threshold without tripping prematurely.
• Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state register.

Why the Coolpad 9100 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The 9100's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the previous cell in non-volatile memory. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so the IC reports percentage against outdated reference data. The result is readings that jump or plateau — most visibly between 80% and 100%. One full discharge to auto-off followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the coulomb counter to reset its reference points to the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display draws a current spike the cell voltage cannot sustain — the terminal voltage drops sharply below the protection threshold even though the state-of-charge reading shows capacity remaining. It is most common in the first few cycles before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated. Run two or three full discharge-charge cycles and the shutdowns typically stop as the IC corrects its low-voltage cutoff mapping. If shutdowns continue past three cycles, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making full contact — a resistive connection causes the same voltage sag under load.
