Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo F15 / X903 / R801 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BLP515)
This is a 3.7V, 1450mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the original BLP515 battery in the Oppo F15, X903, R801, and T703 smartphones. It restores full device function when the original cell has degraded or failed. Dimensions are 64.80 × 42.00 × 5.00mm — confirm these against your existing cell before fitting.
- F15 / X903 / R801 / T703 platform fit: These models share the BLP515 footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The charge IC on each device expects the same thermistor response and cell impedance range, so one cell fits the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an F15 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC held current within the expected taper curve at end-of-charge.
- First-cycle calibration on the F15: After fitting, disable fast charging in settings and complete one full discharge-charge cycle on standard charge. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging loads an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Why the F15 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC in the F15 stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When you fit a new BLP515, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity profile. The OS reads voltage against the old map and displays incorrect percentages — typically showing full charge sooner than actual capacity, or dropping suddenly near the bottom. One complete slow discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter rebuild its reference curve against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated to the new cell and the phone enters a high-draw state — modem handshake, screen-on burst, or GPS fix. The cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold faster than the OS expects, triggering an abrupt shutdown even though the displayed percentage reads mid-range. It is not a faulty cell. Run the phone down to below 5% without interruption, then charge fully to 100% — after one complete cycle the gauge recalibrates and the shutdowns stop. Target a full charge endpoint of 4.2V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Oppo F15 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
The BLP515 cell has likely tripped into BMS lockout after dropping below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell before the BMS releases and allows normal boot. If the phone still won't respond after that, try a different charging cable before drawing any conclusions about the cell itself.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the BLP515 — the phone just charges slowly now.
Oppo's proprietary charge protocol performs a handshake between the charger and the phone's charge IC on the first connection. With a new cell, the charge IC sometimes defaults to a conservative trickle rate until it has confirmed the cell's impedance is within expected range. Complete one full charge on the original Oppo charger and cable — third-party adapters will not re-trigger the handshake correctly. After that first full cycle, fast charging should re-engage automatically.
The battery percentage on my F15 keeps jumping around erratically — it dropped from 60% to 11% in minutes, then jumped back up.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve and hasn't settled yet. The old curve stored in firmware doesn't match the BLP515's actual voltage profile, so the percentage reading swings when current draw changes. Run the phone down until it shuts off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — one complete unbroken cycle is enough for the gauge to rebuild an accurate map. Avoid plugging in and unplugging repeatedly during that calibration cycle.
