Fits Coolpad F61 smartphone; replaces CPLD-42 battery pack directly.
3.7V, 1000mAh lithium-ion cell restores full call and messaging duration on F61 hardware.
Connector slides into original battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush.
We bench-tested the CPLD-42 cell on a stationary charger; BMS accepted input without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before USB-PD protocol pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolpad F61 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CPLD-42)

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell for the Coolpad F61 smartphone. It replaces OEM part CPLD-42 and fits the F61 directly. Voltage and physical dimensions — 59.67 × 39.66 × 4.26mm — match the original cell specification.

  • F61 fit and connector match: The CPLD-42 uses a connector pinout specific to the F61 board layout. The BMS handshake must match the charge IC on that board — swapping a generic 3.7V cell without the correct protection circuit will throw charge faults or refuse to power on entirely.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge and charge sequence, confirmed the BMS protection tripped correctly at low voltage, and verified charge termination at 4.2V under the F61 charge IC.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the F61 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The F61 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state against a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, that curve no longer matches. The IC interpolates incorrectly, so the percentage jumps or stalls at values that don't reflect real charge. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to relearn the curve against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or display's minimum rail requirement under peak load — even though the gauge reads 20–30% remaining. The old fuel gauge calibration predicts headroom that the new cell doesn't have at that state of charge under load. The BMS cuts output to protect the cell before the gauge catches up. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and the gauge IC will recalibrate; shutdowns at that range should stop once the coulomb counter is tracking the correct voltage cliff.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Coolpad F61 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out below 2.5V from self-discharge in storage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release and allow a normal boot. If the charging indicator appears and then disappears, repeat the process; the cell may need two or three trickle sessions to recover enough voltage for the BMS to unlock.

Fast charging stopped working after I put this battery in — the phone only charges slowly now.

The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge protocol negotiation happens between the charger and the phone's charge IC, but on the first cycle after a cell swap the charge IC often defaults to a conservative constant-current rate until it confirms the new cell is stable. Use the original Coolpad charger and cable, complete one full slow charge to 100%, then reboot. Fast charging typically resumes from the second cycle once the charge IC has logged a complete cycle on the new cell.

The battery percentage on my F61 keeps jumping around erratically — it showed 45% then jumped to 12% in two minutes.

That's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a discharge curve it hasn't learned yet. The coulomb counter inherited calibration data from the old cell, and the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship is different. Let the phone discharge fully until it shuts itself down, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After one or two complete cycles the gauge readings will stabilise.
