Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HTC Incredible S — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BG32100)
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 2400mAh (8.88Wh), replacing part number BG32100 in the HTC Incredible S and Incredible S S710E (PG32130). It slots into the original battery bay and connects to the same three-contact terminal the phone's charge IC expects. Fits the S710E variant without modification.
- Incredible S / S710E compatibility: Both the standard Incredible S and the S710E share the same battery bay dimensions, contact layout, and BMS handshake requirements. The BG32100 footprint — 65 × 43 × 10mm — is common across this line, so one cell covers the full group without any adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge-charge sequence on the S710E, monitoring the charge IC handshake. The BMS accepted the cell on the first connection, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold during the discharge run.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before resuming normal use. The Incredible S uses a coulomb counter that was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the gauge to read incorrectly from day one.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Incredible S after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Under modem load or screen-on draw, a new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can hit its actual voltage floor while the OS still reports 20–30% remaining. The phone shuts down because the cell voltage drops below the safe operating threshold, even though the percentage shown looks safe. One full discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates this behaviour.
HTC Incredible S not powering on after sitting in storage
If a battery has been in storage for several months and the cell voltage has dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent charging a deeply discharged lithium cell at full current. The phone will show no response — no boot screen, no charging indicator. Connect to a wall charger rather than a PC port, which supplies enough current for the charge IC to trickle-charge the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once the cell climbs above 3.0V, normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my HTC Incredible S show the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new BG32100 cell?
The Incredible S uses a coulomb counter that learned the discharge curve of the original cell over many cycles. Drop in a new cell and that stored profile no longer matches, so the reported percentage drifts away from the actual charge level. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell and the percentage readings stabilise.
The Incredible S feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges — is that normal?
A new high-impedance cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a cell that has been conditioned, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat in the first two or three cycles. The warmth should be mild and reduce noticeably after the cell is broken in. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, disconnect and let it cool — that points to a charge IC fault rather than normal break-in behaviour. Check that nothing is blocking ventilation around the back cover during charging.
My Incredible S shuts off at around 25% battery — why does a new cell do this?
Under heavy load — mobile data, screen at full brightness, active calls — the cell voltage can sag and hit the hardware cutoff floor while the fuel gauge still displays 25% or higher. This happens because the coulomb counter has not yet mapped the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve, so the shutdown threshold arrives before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Do one full discharge-charge cycle to recalibrate the gauge. After calibration, the OS percentage will track the actual cell voltage accurately and the premature shutdowns will stop.
