Fits LG KW730 smartphones and replaces OEM part number BF-45FN battery pack.
This 3.7V 1500mAh Li-ion cell delivers 5.55Wh to the KW730 modem and display load.
Connector slides into the battery slot with the contact pins facing the device motherboard.
We bench tested the BMS on a KW730 test rig — fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell without lockout fault.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG KW730 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BF-45FN)

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the LG KW730 smartphone. It uses OEM part number BF-45FN and slots directly into the KW730 battery bay. Capacity is rated at 5.55Wh, matching the original cell specification.

  • KW730 battery bay fit: The KW730 uses a removable Li-ion pack with a three-contact connector carrying positive, negative, and a BMS data line. The BF-45FN replicates this contact layout and communicates cell status back to the phone's charge IC — the phone recognises the pack and begins charging without error flags.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a KW730 unit. The BMS held the charge cutoff at 4.2V and the low-voltage cutoff triggered correctly before the cell voltage dropped below 3.0V. No false charge-complete signals were observed.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: On first use, disable fast charging if your KW730 supports it, then run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on the KW730 was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. One full cycle lets it recalibrate against the new cell before normal use.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the KW730 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. A fresh cell holds a higher voltage at any given state-of-charge, so the IC misreads remaining capacity. Under modem or screen load, the phone draws enough current to cause a brief voltage sag — the IC interprets this as a critical low-voltage event and shuts down. One full discharge cycle to around 3.4V under normal use, followed by a full charge, resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.

KW730 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the BF-45FN cell drops below 2.5V, the BMS trips its deep-discharge lockout and the phone will not respond to a normal power-on press. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell at a low rate before the BMS re-enables the output circuit. Once the cell recovers to approximately 3.0V, the phone will power on normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KW730 keeps shutting off at around 25% battery even though the new BF-45FN was just installed — why?

The fuel gauge IC is still running calculations based on the old cell's discharge curve. A fresh cell sustains higher voltage under load than a worn one, so the IC underestimates remaining capacity and triggers an early shutdown. Run one full discharge down to the automatic cutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter aligns to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The KW730 shows a percentage that jumps around erratically after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The phone's fuel gauge IC lost its reference point when the old cell was removed and is actively recalibrating against the new one. This erratic reading is normal for the first one to three charge cycles on a smartphone fuel gauge IC. Let the battery discharge to the automatic cutoff once, charge fully, and repeat if needed — the percentage display stabilises once the IC has enough data points from the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve.

The new battery feels warm near the back of the KW730 while charging for the first time — should I stop charging?

Mild warmth on the first charge cycle is expected. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC pushes slightly more voltage across the cell to maintain its target current — that extra energy dissipates as heat. If the phone is warm but not hot to the touch and the temperature drops off after the first full cycle, this is within normal range. If the back becomes too hot to hold comfortably, disconnect and check that the battery contacts are seated flat against the connector with no debris on the contact pads.
