Fits Cricket Crosswave and Crosswave WiFi smartphones; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V, 1100mAh capacity delivers full talk time and standby duration on this handset.
Battery slides into the compartment vertically with connector aligned; no locking tab required.
We bench tested this cell in a Crosswave unit — BMS accepted charge without fault codes, voltage held steady under modem load.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cricket Crosswave — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell for the Cricket Crosswave smartphone and EC5805. It replaces an original cell that no longer holds voltage under screen or modem load. Swap it in when the phone dies early, refuses to charge, or drains faster than it used to.

  • Crosswave and EC5805 fit: Both the Crosswave and EC5805 share the same 3.7V single-cell platform, connector pinout, and charge IC handshake — one cell covers both. Physical dimensions are 54.05 × 34.10 × 5.40mm, so clearance in the battery bay is exact.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Crosswave platform. The BMS accepted the charge profile without interruption, and protection circuits tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff. No thermal anomalies were recorded during the charge phase.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if the option is available, then run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting accurate percentages.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

The Crosswave's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original aged cell. A fresh cell has a steeper voltage cliff at the low end — the phone sees a voltage drop it reads as empty before the cell is actually depleted. This causes abrupt shutdowns that look like a defective battery but are not. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption and the gauge recalibrates. After that, shutdowns below 15% are normal low-battery protection kicking in at approximately 3.2V.

Phone will not power on after the battery sat discharged in storage

If the Crosswave was stored with a depleted cell, the BMS may have tripped into deep-discharge lockout once cell voltage dropped below 2.5V. In this state the phone shows no charging indicator and appears completely dead. Connect it to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it untouched for 20 to 40 minutes. The charge IC delivers a trickle current that slowly recovers cell voltage back above the BMS wake threshold of around 2.9V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Cricket Crosswave shuts off at 25% with the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the Crosswave stored the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell, and the new cell's voltage drops faster at the low end than the gauge expects. The phone interprets that voltage drop as empty and cuts power to protect the circuit. Run two complete uninterrupted discharge-to-charge cycles and the coulomb counter will recalibrate — shutdowns at 25% should stop after the second cycle.

The Crosswave battery percentage is jumping around erratically after I put in the new cell — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating. It was tuned to the impedance profile of your worn-out original cell, and the new cell presents a different internal resistance and discharge curve. Until the IC has seen at least one full cycle from 100% down to automatic shutoff and back to full charge, the reported percentage will be unstable. Let the phone complete that first full cycle without charging partway and interrupting it — the readings will stabilise after that.

The Crosswave shows it's charging but won't turn on after the battery was completely drained for weeks — how do I fix it?

A cell left fully discharged for an extended period drops below the BMS protection threshold of around 2.5V, causing a lockout that blocks normal startup. Plug the phone into a 5V wall adapter — USB ports on computers often deliver insufficient current for recovery — and leave it on charge without pressing any buttons for at least 30 minutes. The charge IC will push a slow trickle current into the cell; once voltage climbs back above roughly 2.9V, the BMS unlocks and the charging indicator will appear.
