Fits Cricket Engage smartphones; replaces OEM battery part number LI3719T42P3h644161.
3.7V and 1850mAh lithium-ion delivers the original power envelope for calling, messaging, and app performance.
Connector and form factor match the Engage slot exactly; seats flush with no adapter required.
We bench-tested the BMS against a dead Engage unit — fuel gauge IC accepted calibration on first insertion and held voltage stable under modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cricket Engage — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LI3719T42P3h644161)

This is a 3.7V, 1850mAh Li-ion battery for the Cricket Engage smartphone. It replaces OEM part number LI3719T42P3h644161. Fit this battery when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or shuts the phone down unexpectedly.

  • Cricket Engage compatibility: The Engage uses a fixed 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture with a direct board connector. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the phone's charge IC and BMS handshake proceed as normal on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Engage platform. The BMS accepted the cell without a protection-trip fault, and the charge IC reached full termination voltage without thermal events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is introduced to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

The Engage's fuel gauge IC stores a charge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell has a different internal resistance and discharge profile, so the IC misjudges the remaining voltage headroom. Under modem or screen load, the actual cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate forces the coulomb counter to resync to the new cell. After that cycle, the shutdown-at-percentage behaviour resolves.

Phone warm near the battery during the first charge after swap

A new cell comes with slightly elevated internal impedance until it has been cycled once. During that first charge, the charge IC pushes current into a higher-resistance cell, which converts more energy to heat than a broken-in cell would. This is normal and temporary — it does not indicate a fault. If the phone feels uncomfortably hot to the touch rather than slightly warm, disconnect the charger and let the phone cool to room temperature before resuming, then check the charge rate setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Cricket Engage shut off at around 25% battery after putting in a new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the Engage is still running a charge curve calibrated to the old cell. When the screen or modem draws current, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects, and the BMS hits its cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — not fast charge. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual discharge profile.

The battery percentage on my Engage is jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 40% in minutes without heavy use. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC lost its reference point when the old cell was removed. It is now estimating state-of-charge against a curve that no longer matches the installed cell, so reported percentage is unreliable until recalibration. Charge to 100% without interruption, then use the phone normally until it shuts down from low battery on its own — do not top up during this cycle. After that single full cycle, the IC recalibrates its coulomb counter and percentage readings stabilise.

My Cricket Engage won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months before I installed it. Is the cell dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V the BMS has entered a lockout state to prevent damage from deep discharge. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it for at least 30 minutes without attempting to power on. The charge IC will trickle-charge the cell at a low recovery current until the voltage clears the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes and the phone will boot.
